I am extremely satisfied with this product. It has an excellent screen, a fantastic operating system management center, powerful performance, and a comfortable grip. The speaker's performance is also highly satisfying. Overall, this is my favorite Windows handheld device.

This handheld is amazing. After looking at the Lenovo Legion Go, the MSI Claw, and the SteamDeck, this is my choice. Absolutely great looking screen, decent battery life, comfortable, slim, and great speakers.

TLDR: Great design and amazing performance capabilities but the battery life ruins the experience. RATING: I gave it 2/5 stars instead of 1/5 stars only because I like it DESPITE of it's critically short battery life. IMO: IF YOU ARE ON THE FENCE I RECOMMEND DON'T BUY, IF MONEY ISN'T AN ISSUE THEN I THINK IT'S WORTH BUYING IT AS A NOVELTY BUT NOT A FULL ON GAMING DEVICE. REVIEW: Honestly, this thing is amazing. I think it's perfect in every way but one, it's battery life. When it comes to performance this thing is incredible.. When it comes to aesthetics, this thing is incredible.. When it comes to the built in controller pad, it's incredible... When it comes to the hybrid Microsoft 11 touch screen OS combined with the ASUS armoury crate, it's amazing. The battery life is so bad that it makes all of it's positives meaningless, however. I can only get it to play games unplugged for 2 maybe 3 hours and plugged in for 4 maybe 6 tops before I have to shut it down and either: let it charge up, cool down, and usually both. I still love the thing to play on my bed with it is plugged in but it's basically a novelty rather than a standalone game playing device. Playing this away from a charger is unrealistic and if you use a battery bank then you ruin the mobility factor whilst risking overheating it and damaging it in the process. This thing has a special place in my heart though because it was always a childhood dream of mine to own a handheld XBOX game playing device and when I play Halo/COD on this thing it makes me feel like that dream has finally come true. So I'm still keeping mine and enjoy it for small 1-3 hour gaming sessions on weeknights; After work and before I go to bed.

I love this device so much , it’s not just a pc it’s an all around gaming machine spectacular graphics. User friendly , I love the size and how you can do everything a 5000 pc can do and more . The best investment ever

I am enjoying my new Rog Ally. My previous handheld was a Switch. I decided on the Ally because I liked the capability, look, and feel of it. My only disappointment is the battery life, but you can play it plugged in so it kind of balances out since I only play at home so far.

Super easy to set up and runs all of my games perfectly. Love having this on the go on vacations and trips when I can’t take my Pc with me

This a good WIN11 gaming handheld compatible with most PC games. The only drawback is the short battery life away from AC power.

As a steam deck user this is the next iteration. It's smaller, lighter and much better specd out while also being much more repairable. I managed to smash by thunbs ticks by dropping it from a table (they took the mpact and saved the screen). Cost 15$ and an ifixit kit and had it up and running in 30mins. Don't care much for the design though, have the RGB disabled and if there was a cleaner looking version I would have bought that. It was either purchase a new GU to upgrade my 1070 or this hand held and I have no regrets. Silicon has come such a long way that AAA games can be played at 60fps with great visuals and emulating my 360 collection means I can finally play classics not on steam/gog.

For those looking for a handheld gaming experience without breaking the bank, this PC is worth considering. It may not have all the bells and whistles of newer models, but it's a capable device that can still deliver a great gaming experience, especially with older games and indie titles.

I purchased an open box ROG Ally for a terrific deal at Best Buy, and even though the hardware itself is fantastic, my experience wasn't quite as portrayed. When it was shipped to me, I noticed slight cosmetic damage… in other words, some scuffing on the bumpers. This was disappointing because Best Buy's description assured that there would be absolutely no cosmetic damage. In addition, the Windows installation had not been properly reset, so I had to manually reinstall it myself before the system was operational. That aside, with the extra work, the device is working well and functioning as it should. I just wish the description was more accurate and that the initial setup was done correctly. I do not know if this would have been possible for someone with less experience with windows. I would like to note that all of my issues were most likely with Best Buy and NOT with the product itself, it works well and I could not ask for a better handheld for the price.

Not super friendly out of the box, but 10/10 overall. I don’t care about the battery life. 500gb is questionable. And useless top port

It's a great handheld, plays games from steam, xbox, etc. My only issue was that it needs to stay plugged in if you're going to play for a couple hours straight.

Amazin, good quality build, fast runing games, ergonomic in hands, nice screen resolution , with shorcut buttons . Recommend buy the case asus rog eith product to prevent storage scratch! .

Amazing little handheld device. I like feel of it and how well the games play. Can play fortnite on the go. Needs a bigger battery though and maybe tips to optimize the battery?

[Employee of bestbuy] At first it was probably the worst gaming hand held to use. After 3 days worth of updates, it became quite usable and fun to play games on. Around 4 campaign missions of Halo worth of battery life. Fun to use during break or on the go

Portable pc at your hands! Works awesome I don’t have time to play my gaming pc now days as I’m always gone this has taken its place and let me catch up on my gaming while I’m away from home. 1080p mw2 at a consistent 80-90 Fps in the palm on your hands!

It is not a direct competitor to steam deck rather a handheld pc, while steam deck feels like a console for gaming. Screen is amazing, processing power is amazing. Battery life kind of sucks. Also Asus admitted it has a SD card bricking problem.

The item was essentially like new! I was surprised to see every item in the box and the device working as it should. I’m absolutely obsessed with my ASUS ROG and even happier that Best Buy offered a fantastic open box device.

Excellent device. Haven’t been able to put it down since. Truly a magnificent experience as far as quality and visuals. Only knock is the battery life isn’t great but you’re getting triple A gaming in your hands.
