Awesome handheld console! Very easy to use and I just love it!

Coming from the Steam Deck it’s just a great upgrade! Thw screen, sound, touch capbility, and performance sre just remarkable! Plus it’s much lighter!

I have been PC gaming for a long while, I have a few ASUS computers under my belt. That being said, I have experienced an unusual SD card issue with this device. I use reputable brand cards in all my devices, I update and care for my computers. My sd card began to fail, slowing down file explorer to a crawl, not letting me use task manager, and not letting me do a system shut down, All issues went away when the card was removed. I placed the card in a 360 camera, drone, and another computer. The card was still functional, in fact it was still functional with the ally via an external USB C sd card reader. The Ally sd card slot was also still functional with a 2nd card I purchased, and a few old cards I had laying round. But I discontinued use out of caution. Other than that, this device and its possibilities are outstanding. To be able to play PC games on the go in a handheld formfactor, and also to dock and play in a desktop type setup is amazing. Absolutely awesome!!! I have so many games on PC and the Ally has allowed me to take them with me anywhere I go! I play it a lot in hand held, but in my backpack, I have a keyboard, mouse, dock, Xbox controller and HDMI so that when I’m going somewhere I’m going to be stationary (like a hotel or to stay with family) it’s like taking my whole pc in a backpack, that can be unplugged and go to the recliner with me for handheld gaming! I’m in love with this thing!

I own a gaming laptop but never got around to completing any games however since owning the ally Z1 Extreme I've completed lots of games so far. It's just so much easier to game on the ally. I olay 80% of the times plugged in because outlets are literally everywhere these days so battery life isn't a problem. I honestly dont mind not being able to use the sd card slot though it would've been a nice plus. Great overall device. I would definitely recommend buying one.

I love this device. It has enough power to play a game on turbo mode for about an hour. It’s just like a regular windows computer with a touch screen and controller built in. You can also use the right thumbstick sort of like a mouse. The rear paddle buttons are nice. It’s great for farming things casually in World of Warcraft when combined with a wireless mouse. It’s important to do all of the updates for it though, they fix a lot of problems.

I did about a week worth of research every day i got off work everywhere from reviews to teardowns to ssd upgrades to what game are compatiable. I was thinking the steam deck but this opens up a world to play any game the steam deck but better and a lot more game options. Im not limited to steam only i can play any game u can put on a gaming pc i did purchase a 1tb ssd for this bad boy althoigh with cloud gaming available now i diddnt really need that mich extra memore the 512gb is plenty. This thing is a beast

Im a pc and console gamer, I enjoy the portability and power of this device. Playing AAA games on the go or in the comfort of my bed is great.

As stated this bad boy can play pretty much every game better with higher details than the steam deck PLUS it has native windows, which for me i pefer to linux on the steam deck. However i personally wish that it had 4 paddles on the back like the steam deck but i think im in a minority on that cuz the face buttons are more than good enough im just spoiled from the xbox elite controller. Overall i love the ally and i bring it everywhere and it has pretty much replaced my steam deck and inthink its worth the price diffrence to me.

A hand held PC ready to be personalized and optimized. Can run in variable watts and will perform better than a switch or steam deck performance wise. Battery consumption not so much. Runs on windows 11, steam and Microsoft store come installed, other launchers readily available. 3 months of gamepass. Switched out the internal m.2 for a 2tb, micro SD cards ported on fan cooled vented dock with mouse and keyboard attached and a portable display on the way Overall a nifty gadget.

I was going to get a steam deck but then I heard this was coming out and I’ve been researching both of these for a little while and then I saw it in person available for display. I was concerned about the comfort so I tried it out and I loved it and the fact that it’s a Windows 11 machine makes it to where gaming is limitless. I don’t see how people are complaining so much to be honest if you want something done right spend a little bit of time setting it up and properly updating it. This is by far the best portable I currently own for gaming

Heard some units were faulty but mine came out perfect. Playing COD feels amazing , this also works with Nreal airs , if anyone wants to know. Device works very well, been watching videos and was thinking it would be a buggy mess but nope , flawless. I have both steam deck and Ally. Steam deck is awesome , games play very well if compatible, feels like a console, just can’t play some games like COD or any game with anti cheat. Ally can play everything , it’s a windows pc just in your hands with controller support. Hand held are the future 100%

I absolutely love my Ally, I play this thing every day and has become my main mobile gaming device! Destiny 2 on this thing is wonderful!

It is a pretty awesome system. Basically like having a series x or pc in your hand. The best part is not constrained to your home when you want game. So far I have taken it to an auto shop and had to wait while they fixed my car, that would have been boring without an ally. I also have a nice setup at work to make downtime more enjoyable. 10 out 10 reccomend. I will say there were some hiccups here and there , but nothing that wants me to make a return. I also never used my sd card slot in case you was wondering.

Overall it runs games on steam and other platforms but the integration with windows makes it a little confusing to use. I ran into problems where games didn't recognize the "controller" and thought I was playing on PC which made it impossible to play. Specifically this happened on Overwatch. After tweaking the settings I was impressed to see almost 120 FPS when playing games like Rocket League and Apex. If you want to keep getting high performance like 120 FPS I recommend staying close to an outlet. You will only get about 40 min on maxed out settings (as expected). There are some cool features like a finger print scanner so you don't have to use your Microsoft Account Pin every time. This leads me to my last point; you will need a Microsoft account if you don't have one already. I am sure Gamepass will work great on this unit (Unfortunately I was unable to test this) I think this unit has tremendous opportunity for growth. I might be giving the Asus Ally a 3 out of 5 right now but in 6 months that could easily change. I haven't reviewed the Steam Deck yet but follow Battle Vision Gaming on TikTok for more reviews.

Solid performance especially when playing diablo 4. Although the battery life is a bit short overall this is a great gaming handheld.

I needed a new computer for work in school but also wanted a new console to play with for downtime. I was a little skeptical and getting a hand held console but after looking at all the reviews for this, I caved and it was probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's nice to have it available from my office space to game on a monitor and to be able to sit and game in the living room with while my wife watches her reality TV shows.

So far, it's working great. Initially, I received a faulty item where the screen was not showing anything. Then, after the complaint, BestBuy replaced the product with a good one. It's running smoothly. However, I have to play with lower resolution for some games, such as FIFA23 or FC24. Otherwise, the game lags. But other heavy games, such as Forza Horizon, are playing smoothly. When I connect it to a monitor, the graphics really look awesome. My overall satisfaction is great.

Performed great, I was able to run Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty for about 30 minutes before it would drain the battery. Overall I liked the product but I kept looking for more accessories for the Ally that made me question my purchase versus buying a pc or console.
