I bought open box excellent got exactly that only thing that sucks didn’t get the rog stand for it.The handheld PC is amazing use it at work while on break or waiting for Uber after work and it’s a champ plays all my emulators ps3 ect runs great,new games runs great,honestly awesome invention so glad I was able to get one,also got a friend to get one he also loves it replace his laptop with it.

Works beautifully. It is a lot to set up, but worth it.

Love the rog! It was easy set up for me. Im only using the Rog for gaming. I love the gaming hub. All my gaming apps and games in a single area is handy! Wish the battery lasted longer but im usually on my couch so i can have it plugged in. Definitely recommended!

In general, the performance to play triple AAA party games is great. I was able to play World of Warcraft classic in 30min-1hr using a controller mod, and Diablo IV a few times. Unfortunately when I went to access my games from the SD Card, the drive was no longer appearing. This is unfortunate as that was the option I chose to have extra games stored there. I went to ASUS website to open a repair ticket as I pre-ordered this and had it launch day, but ASUS directed me to go to Best Buy where I purchased to have it repaired. So now they have and are sending to the regional repair center states away for 2-4 weeks. I have ASUS 4K gaming monitors and so on and never had an issue, they seemed to really rush this. Another issue is this is meant to be a mobile gaming device, and when trying to compete with the steam deck, not including a case is a negative, but then selling a separate case that cannot house the charger for it is a double negative. I would recommend just getting a steam deck, which I had before and wished I just stuck with that. Hopefully ASUS fixes future units

I've been using my Ally for two years now and haven't looked back. I had really debated a Steam Deck at the time but love the fact that I can easily play across services including Steam, Epic, GOG, and more without having to hack or bypass anything. Only issue I had was the memory card slot was bad and ASUS quickly fixed that for free with no issues. Great, powerful device.

I really want to love this device, but Windows 11 is causing issues that are affecting my overall experience. While games run well at 720p and 900p, exceeding the performance of a Switch, other aspects of the device are suffering due to Windows 11. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot these issues?

Great windows handheld More powerful than the steam deck and slimmer

I played every day I like it. I can use it for discord to talk to my sister who lives in Texas and play Xbox and steam

I bought an open box of this product and it has amazed me from day one. I can't believe so much computing power can be packed into such a small device! It has no issues handling some of my favorite games (Sims 4, SWTOR, Guild Wars2) and I am enjoying being able to game again immensely. Definitely recommend! I still think I'll end up getting a more robust PC at some point, but this definite works in the interim!

I already have a Steam Deck and a Switch, but I bought this for a few reasons: I like ROG products, I wanted one made for Windows, and why not? So far, it’s my favorite of the three: better display, better feel, and more power. For the most part, games run better on it than on the Deck. But it isn’t as polished as either the Switch or Deck, so if you’re not willing to tinker with it like a regular Windows PC, you might be better off with one of the others.

I think that the Asus Rog Ally is by far the best handheld gaming device I’ve ever had the pleasure of laying my hands on. Its everything I’ve ever wanted in a high end handheld and more.. much much more.. the fact that this beast runs Windows is also a huge bonus as I can also use it for some editing and various other tasks. Too bad 5 stars is the limit because I’d give 10 if I could. #Amazed

I like the Ally a lot. I also own the Steam Deck and is hard to get to a conclusion about which one i like the most. They both have features i like and that i dont like. All i can say is that if your main concern is the price, i would go with the Steam Deck because you get a pretty good case with it and it will cost you $100 less compared to the Ally with a case. If you buy the Deck now in July you can get it at 20% off and will save like $300 compared to the Ally.

Great handheld PC for light gamers. Do not use the sd card as it has known issues. If you decided to upgrade the SSD, make sure to update the internal clock in BIOS before starting the cloud recovery. The system will hang due to mismatch between system clock and server clock, but it will not notify you to update the clock. Also, the first update will probably take a few hours as it is windows, but afterwards things should be very smooth,

I have owned this device for almost 2 years. I got it on launch day! This has been my gaming PC for a year until I got my own laptop. I still use this handheld a a lot. I game in the couch, bed, and plane. I even bought this to Japan so I could still play Valorant (150FPS - Set to Low Quality) during my trip. Controllers are still great, no stick drift or whatsoever. I haven't had problems with the fans either. Windows is more convenient for me after all even in handhelds when it comes to gaming. There is the new Ally X, but I'll stick to this one until the next generation comes. Wish they released this one with the black version too just like the Ally X.
