I love this device it’s fast responsive and portable. I love playing all my offline games on it. Perfect for traveling gameplay. My only complaint is the analog stick core (pole holding the grip) is soft plastic and rough gameplay cut into the plastic. But analog stick core gaurds came in clutch.

Amazing! Super powerful handheld. I’m a ROG fan so this product definitely meets the expectations of anyone who uses ASUS ROG products. For transparency, I also have the Steam Deck Oled (Limited Edition) and I highly prefer the Z1 Extreme Ally anytime I want to get some game time. The Oled Deck is lighter and the platform offers a console-like however, the SteamOS just lacks the compatibility Windows 11 and features that aren’t matched (unless you’re somewhat versed in dev). The only let downs I have with the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme is that it 1/2TB isn’t a spec that’s offered and also, the product was supposed to include a 3 month trial for PC Game Pass but I didn’t get one. This is probably because I purchased it Open Box from BestBuy. Aside from these, I LOVE this handheld and highly recommend to anyone in the market but undecided between the various options out there. If you do get one, I recommend grabbing a 2TB m.2 nvme ssd and run a debloat program to remove the pre-installed apps/programs that run in the background eating up memory.

Fun and simple. Windows 11 makes using this device even easier. I sold my steam deck for one and while I do miss the steam deck for the simplicity and ease of use with valve; I forever prefer Windows. Especially thanks to Microsoft for not integrating the game pass on anything other than an xbox or windows os. (/s)

Best handheld gaming device I've had. Can play up to 2 hrs on highest mode. Very nice for traveling. Superb graphics and frames. Just overall a great handheld. I've played every day for a few months and it's just overall better than competitors. Better battery compared to any other competitors

Im a steam deck ower and was looking for something better. this ROG alley has over shadowed my expectations . I have the Z1 extreme and im overcome with excitement with the way it runs smooth with AAA games with no issues … if you want your bang for your buck, definitely get the $699 one you will not be disappointed. On a scale from 1 to 10 definitely a 10’in my book

Amazing device, very light, it's not loud at all and the performance is great.

It’s good. The screen resolution is amazing . I truly enjoy my games on this. Only thing I have an issue with is how hot it can get and the battery life.

This thing is amazing. I have this and the steam deck and let me tell you this thing blows that out of the water.  It can play Diablo 4 on medium settings at 70-80 fps! I have also tried GTA 5, rdr2 and Cyberpunk. You really can play any game as long as it supports controllers, but at the same time you can hook this up to a monitor,keyboard and mouse, and treat it like a gaming PC if you wanted. The possibilities are endless!

To keep it short and straight to the point, the Asus ROG Ally is an overall fantastic PC handheld device that comes with the compromises of a first-generation iteration. You will be able to play most of your favorite PC games on the go, you'll no longer be limited to a desk or carrying a gaming laptop around. Setting up the ROG Ally is going to take effort, but if you are familiar with PC gaming you already are used to it.

I've lost my husband to it! He is obsessed, he plays it all day and late into the night. It works better than my desktop, the graphics are good, and its versitile, basically the best option for anyone looking for a even more portable laptop. Im gonna need to get one for myself when the desktop breaks. It really feels like the future of gaming. The device is great 10/10, I just miss my husband is all!

There is a learning curve if you haven’t ever PC gamed before and even if you did especially if you havent ever handheld pc gamed before, there is a learning curve. Dont whine, just google search your issue and a solution will come. Windows is hard to wrap around but with due time you will master it. Getting the device from Best buy was my only issue. Definitely better than my steam deck running windows thats for sure!

The product was great at first but after a little bit of use my right joystick was locked at only being able to go up and down and not left and Right.

Having both steam deck and ally ... i am satisfied with both.... i think the ally performs a little better when it comes to triple AAA games .... my small tiny dislike abut the ally is the analog sticks are a tiny bit to sensitive for me but i got use to it ...

LOVE this. I’m a gamer, love my PC don’t get me wrong. But there’s nothing like relaxing in bed or on the couch with the ability to play alll my PC games hand held. 10/10

I love this device! Theres been a lot of times that I wanted to take my PC games on the go! I bought the ROG dock also so that I could plug it up to a monitor when I wanted to game by my wife in the living room, couldnt do that with my desktop pc. Make sure to do all the updates once you get it. It does take a min to get everything set up. But it runs windows so its like having a portable computer.

This is the perfect option for mobile gaming. The screen is pristine and if you like working with Windows then this will be easy for you. You can customize the settings of each game to make sure that it runs smoothly. Do yourself a favor and upgrade the storage and get a good battery pack if your not going to be plugged in so the time. Well worth every penny.

So far so good, 2 months in. Be weary it gets hot when you crank it up to maximum. People say the updates mess things up with the games but also be weary that alot of factors play into it as well. So far zero issues. Card reader works which seems like that rare.

I absolutely love this device. This has replaced the use of my Steam Deck on a regular basis. The screen is nice and sharp, the controls are super responsive, and the wifi signal is waaaaay better than the SD. If you pair this device with Geforce Now for streaming, you really can't go wrong (just as long as you have a great internet connection). I've even been using it to play my PS5. 10/10 would recommend.
