I preordered this a month before and Best Buy made it simple. They kept me updated every step of the way This handheld gaming console is awesome. The quality of the picture is great and the RGB lighting is a nice bonus.

Just one word! Perfect! Such a powerful device with no competition on the board! Really, after recent updates this device is a monster!

I have a steam deck and this has completely replaced it. I have not turned on my steam deck since picking this up and i use it everyday. I highly recommend this device. It takes a bit more to get setup but it’s worth it.

This version of the ROG Ally is AMAZING!!! It was everything it was advertised to be and more!! It’s literally a handheld PC! There’s a reason they call this thing “The Steamdeck Killer”.

So far after all the updates and setup the Rog Ally works great. Been playing diablo 4 online and its now my fav device. Just get a dock and 100watt power supply and its a every day computer and gaming machine.

Is exactly what I need, I have a lot of free hours in job. Is perfectly for the waits in the airport. The temperature is good and you can modify fans. The weight is less than iPad or surface

The Rog Ally has two fans that at max can spin over 7000 rpms. Even with this the unit has problems with cooling itself. My particular unit also had fans that had a whine sound at lower fan speeds. The APU is comprised of a CPU and GPU. It seems when the CPU around 4000Mhz the unit starts to get really hot, 95C. I was downloading a game through steam and it is common for the CPU to work hard when downloading a game. The CPU went up around 4200MHz, I had both fans maxed out going over 7000 RPMs and it still was 93C. The APU boosts also, acheiving over 30watts, It can go over 40watts sometimes even to 50 watts. The cooling solution is not enough in such a small form factor unit. When on turbo mode, the unit could not cool properly without setting a manaul fan curve with both fans maxed out. Using turbo modes preset the unit was 95C. When maxing out fans, it was 83C. The best solution I could fine was to nerf the APU manually and make sure it only goes to 30W and not allowing it to boost to 40w or 50w. So... there goes the selling point for the Rog ally, because the cooling solution isn't enough, performance has to be nerfed if you want your components to be baking over 90c. With the annoying whine noise from both fans, the unit becoming physcially too warm to game with in turbo mode, the clunkiness of Amory crate's UI, sadly I will be adding to my local Best buy stock of open box Rog Allys

I absolutely love this device! No regrets. Sure it's not perfect but It's been taking everything I have thrown at it. 60+ FPS on the go PC gaming, and dockable for a console like experience? What more can you ask for

This thing is AWESOME!!! Would have given 5 stars but the thing takes lightyears to set up and when I went to play my favorite game.... Lo and behold, NONE of the controls worked!!! It took me another month of Sundays to get those to function properly.... Also, I bought open box so there were no signs of the 3month free Xbox game pass or whatever.... Now there's a novel idea.... Buy the Ally, use code for free game pass, return to best buy. 3 months later, Repeat. Now you have unlimited free Xbox game pass for LYFE.... Or as long as they keep selling these little banshees....

This thing is awesome!! Diablo 4 at 100+ Frames yes please!! Runs triple A titles great!! All the Armoury Crate issues people complained about were fixed by the time I got mine so no issues for me!! GET IT!!

I replaced an old gaming computer I never used anymore with this. Was able to sell that and pick this ROG Ally up as an open box for the same price. It was in great condition and runs circles around the heavy old pc it replaced. Not only is it my portable gaming device, but I use it all day in docked mode as my work computer. Very happy with it! Battery life could be better if you want long gaming sessions with it however for my use, it’s perfect.

It's awesome! Good display, low on RAM though. I like this much better than my steam deck.

It’s a very good console for game play. Not too heavy fits perfect in hands. The only thing to think about is battery life but it other then that it’s great

I loved it while it lasted, 3 days after my return window closed, my unit started freezing and crashing in games, it killed an expensive 1TB SD card, and I had to RMA as I couldn't take it back to the store. Now Asus says it can repair it but the parts needed are delayed, they wont give me an estimate on how long itll take to fix it. I asked for a refund or a replacement unit, and was declined both options by Asus. I wish I never bought this, I'm so disappointed and out over $700 plus over $100 for the SD card. How this issue hasnt lead to a recall is beyond me, someone needs to look into how these defective products are still being sold, and us costumers have zero protection when the units fail, mine lasted a little over 2 weeks.

Runs good some games have to tweak the settings but good if u run it charging so you can be on turbo mode while playing recommend for people that just wanna lay down and play games :)

A great device, with powerful processor. Running 3 in 60 FPS. The downside is the battery, running out between 40-70 min.

Best Grab for me.. Been waiting for this device since announcement and it didnt let me down.Now i bring it anyware work and outside because its pretty handy. You can get everything from your last penny.

It's a little quarky at first like a p c for gaming. If you are used to p c gaming , you will be fine if you go into this thinking it's like a console you won't like it. I upgraded my own hard drive to a 1 terabyte. I really enjoyed this. It's exactly what I wanted. I did not want to be limited to only my steam account. I have my e. A my Xbox, my UB Soffer my epic and my. Battle net along with my steam account. I can use this with every p c game I own digitally

Its neutral for me came w xbox game pass 3months can play about all my pc games, plus the carrying case was cool. The sd card reader doesnt work i looked it it up and i guess its common
