I sold my steam deck for this, and am currently reconsidering purchasing one again as a back up for when I inevitably have to send this in for repairs. I preordered when they first announced and picked up on launch day. I had to exchange it on day 12 for a failed SD card reader. When I got my replacement I bought the 3 year geek squad warranty. I don’t usually purchase warranties because I tend to buy products from companies I feel that have a good reputations. My first two weeks of experience as a first time asus customer was thankfully remedied by Best Buy. Still such a nice piece of hardware though, but I recommend you purchase the geek squad warranty if you plan to have it for the next 3 years. I would still recommend the Ally for anyone who wants to do windows gaming but with a caveat. Buy the extended warranty!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Asus Rog Ally is an incredible powerful gaming handheld but sofware is buggy and battery life is rwally bad. 1 hour for tripple AAA game runing at 25W and 75% or more brigness. We need a breakthrough battery tech to helo us as soon as possible. Also Windows is not touch friendly we need Microsoft to do their job.

Adding a dock makes it a full desktop replacement in no time. I added a M.2 L bracket and upgraded the storage to 2 TB. Process is straight forward but takes a while, well worth it. Reddit is a great source to answer all questions!
