    Bought this in 2024 when it came out. Always have had headaches due to constantly optimizing games. Even to low settings still ran really bad. So, I used this to play League instead :>

    Performance is amazing, able to run games like bo6 at 60 fps and still looks good, but Asus quality control absolutely sucks, had issues with the triggers being loose or getting suck, the right bumper trigger got mushy or had to press hard to get it to actuate. Got it exchanged and had no issues with the face buttons or triggers but the right Analog stick was loose, moving freely up and down and when moving it around sometimes caused it to make a popping noise. I would say wait to buy one for them to address their quality control, should not be having these issues out of box on a $700 console.

    It’s a good and powerful handheld and will serve you perfectly fine. Only issues I have is that I wish it had a bigger screen and I wish that the hardware was more efficient with the battery so that I could have a longer play session. Other than that, it’s excellent

    I got the msi claw 7 ai+ and i think i really prefer that over this one. This didnt feel great in my hands and also didnt perform as well as the newest msi claws thats are out. It also hurt my big hands to hold this one and play.

    Guys take the pc aspect out of the equation. If you take the time to set it up properly and with the right settings it’s perfect. I purchased a compact keyboard and mouse as well as dock and plan to use it to replace my desktop, Xbox, and laptop. For my use it works great.

    Great on the go, but just not as powerful as expected. Very laggy, and the screen quality is not ideal. I hope to see some improvements down the road. Feels good as a handheld Sound is okay but not much to be expected unless using headphones.

    An experience thats exhausting.

    A very capable system . However a bit buggy. Had to uninstall Amory Crate and do a reinstall because it got stuck on the loading screen. Windows is a pain in the a## , but thats not a knock on the system. Probably won't buy another one. This is my 2nd Ally. Bought the first one and gave it as a Christmas present to a relative. I miss the ease of the console experience. Tweaking settings to get the best FPS is not my thing. Much prefer buying a game and it just works. I think PC gaming is amazing but I look foward to the Switch 2 . When I want a game I really don't want to research whether or not it'll work and then if it does have to then research the optimal settings for said game. Not for me.

    Best handheld console ever. Sticks are good, screen could be Oled and the battery take care of heavy games for 1h30m at least.

    Honestly, it's valve's war to lose. And they seem so much more interested in making a good console that when the deck 2 arrives, the other guys gonna have to go nutso to catch up. Only thing I disliked about the steam deck was the smaller m.2 slot, 720p screen, smaller battery and the age of the hardware. I know that sounds like 80% of the thing, but the ally consoles are just buttons smashed on a portable computer, I feel like it could be away better thought out. The touchpads on the deck are so incredibly useful, it's kind of embarrassing for everyone else. Sorry asus, just having the most powerful doesn't make you the best.
