It does what it promises in terms of performance, but switching between desktop and game controls isn’t very smooth. Navigating the desktop and switching back to a game can feel clunky at times. Also, most games don’t have built-in support for the controls, so you’ll need to manually configure each button, which can be a bit frustrating. Overall, it’s a cool product with strong potential, but it could use some fine-tuning to improve the user experience.

When I returned it to Best Buy they asked if I had it in a hot car for several days because it was hot as a toaster. I’m super disappointed, I LOVED it before it failed. More than the steam deck OLED. But when I took it in they said I was the third THIRD person to return one the same day. Thank GOD I got it at Best Buy and not ASUS. Wishing everyone else luck with theirs, I won’t be buying another one.

After the last ROG Ally, which ironically I still own, I honestly thought that the re-design and quality control would be front and center for this release but unfortunately, I was wrong. I won't even bother charging it or turning it on. It's getting returned. I'm extremely disappointed and I'm not sure why I keep rooting for ASUS (or buying their products). I guess the good days are over and I need to seriously re-evaluate utilizing ASUS both personally and professionally going forward.

A good gaming handheld

I'll chalk that up to it being open box, so I returned to get an open box, fingers crossed.
