Made me fall in love with games again. Love that it’s portable!

I really love this device. I had a lot of fun playing some old games from the Xbox app. It's also very fun playing with friends with your Sting games and epic games. I was shocked on how well everything runs. Sadly, there was there was a bit of screen tearing, but there is a program that helps with that. This is literally my favorite purchase in the last 2 years. I have had more fun learning and playing games on this handheld pc that it reminds me of when i first got a gba or psp. Remember that sense of whoaa this handheld thing can do everythinggg, well this really can haha. Seriously a very impressive piece of tech and an awesome intro to pc gaming

I love having my steam games on the go. It's a nice size. My games run perfectly on this system.

I am absolutely blown away. My experience is it has the ability to run all the games I play at a steady frame rate 30-50 with medium- high graphics. If you’re deciding between this and the steam deck I would get this just for performance and amount of titles it can play (downloading other launchers and works with anti cheat) this feels like a computer while the steam deck feels like a console. It absolutely lives up to expectations. Windows is clunky on handheld but you get used to it. The joy sticks aren’t the best but I have absolutely used worst and with a little tweaking they are fine.

I love this gaming device, overall it was a great investment that i love using and my husband enjoys playing as well. The screen is awesome, the functionality is awesome. The only thing i would add is a backlight for the buttons

The ROG Ally X is a fantastic upgrade from my Steam Deck. It runs modern titles at reasonable frame rates and allows me to take my entire gaming library with me. Definitely the best handheld PC available.

I got this baby open-box and have been enjoying playing games on it. I am not a big fan of Windows, so I really enjoy the fact that I was able to install a Linux os onto the machine (I am using bazzite as of this review). 1 terabyte storage is a really good amount of storage on this console, just enough to keep 100 gb games installed without needing to periodically delete them from the system. I recommend getting this if you are ever interested in handheld PC gaming!

I was looking for something compact to play games on without bringing a laptop with me and the rog ally x definitely suits the need. Able to play assassin’s creed shadows pretty well(better when plugged in). Diablo 4 no issues with it, and no problem running less demanding games like fall guys. It doesn’t replace a laptop but a good substitute if you don’t want to carry anything bulky during a trip.

My partner was struggling to find time to game and still get sleep she would stay out on the living room lose track of time and it was time to get up before she even laid down since I've gotten her her new hand held she still gets in all the gaming she wants but now actually getting the sleep she needs as well

Open Box unit listed as "Good" was honestly immaculate. Not a single visible mark or anything, but it came without a box or the little cardboard stands that come with them usually. Fair enough trade off for saving $150. I've been putting this unit to the test with various AAA titles as well and I cannot see anything wrong with it, externally or internally. Absolutely would recommend, but obviously the chance for issues is there and every open box won't be the same.

Incredible performance for a handheld device. Can play most games with some tuning. The only downside is it functions like a portable pc for better and worse, meaning it’s still windows (which is harder to navigate handheld) and it doesn’t have the same console-like interface like the steam deck. Really great all around, and probably the best performance you can get in a handheld.

This is a big improvement over the original ally from last year or even the Steam Deck Oled that I use almost daily. I do wish it had an OLED screen but that's just being picky. As a person with bigger hands (XL nitrile gloves for ex.) it's not quite as comfortable as my SD but I think it's just a learning curve of how to grip it. Battery life in games like Ghost of Tsushima or The First Descendant I am getting about an hour longer at the 17w preset and much higher frames with smoother frame pacing. I will probably end up upgrading the SSD to a 2tb or more in the future just to have more games installed than I will probably play. I think if you are in the market this is worth the extra cash if you can afford it if not grab the SD OLED

I bought it a month ago, and I'm already having issues with the device. The right joystick has a weird movement, and the RT button sounds like the spring is rusted. They told me they won't accept a return because 15 days have passed.

love the console, it's a portal computer, now I can play all my games on steam and other gaming platform anywhere I go. Planning to take it during my travel and loving the product!

Bought this as the Like New refurbished option and it came out of the box with nothing missing and in perfect shape. I've had it for only a few weeks and have already completed two major games that had been sitting in my Steam Library unfinished. I'm looking forward to being able to use it for some emulation as well as continued use in completing games that have occupied my mind for so long but have not had the motivation to sit down at my PC for countless hours to complete. Much easier to do while on the couch.

I love this! I upgraded from the normal ROG ally and the extra RAM for the IGPU is a huge help. I mainly upgraded due to the serviceability of this one, but obviously the bigger battery and new cooling it is way more quite even on turbo mode.

I recently upgraded from the standard Ally. I’ve had multiple issues with this specific device black screening randomly, with no input response or audio while actively gaming. No inputs resolve the issue. Only solution is to hold the power button until the system powers down. After attempting to contact Asus support, I was placed on hold for over an hour until I finally heard someone pickup the line and then immediately hang up the phone. Strongly considering a return if the EC restart I performed doesn’t resolve the issue.
