As a passionate gamer, I can confidently say that the ROG Ally X is the greatest thing to happen to gaming since laptops. This device has completely transformed how I play, and I couldn't be happier with it. What stands out the most is how it handles AAA titles. Thanks to AMD's Fluid Motion Frame technology, I’m able to enjoy smooth, consistent 30 frames per second, even with the most demanding games. It's incredible to experience console-quality gaming in such a portable device. Titles that I’d never dreamed of playing on the go now run beautifully, and the visuals are stunning! But what really sets the ROG Ally X apart is the bigger battery. It’s been a game-changer for me, especially when I’m playing less demanding games. I can easily tackle these titles for hours on end without worrying about running out of juice. It’s perfect for long commutes, flights, or just lounging around without constantly reaching for the charger. Overall, the ROG Ally X has completely exceeded my expectations. It’s powerful, portable, and packed with features that make it an absolute joy to use. If you're a gamer looking for a handheld that can do it all, this is the one. ASUS nailed it!

The ROG Ally X is a big step up from the original Ally. Performance is excellent for a handheld, especially for PC games, emulation, and Game Pass. The larger battery makes a noticeable difference, and the extra RAM helps with multitasking and newer titles. Windows still isn’t perfect on a small screen, but once set up, it’s a very capable portable gaming PC.

Honestly its a really good replacement for a gaming laptop. Uses windows 11 so make sure to Update! Aside from that i do recommend to get the dock to play better at home and great for on the go gaming

The Ally X has exceeded all expectations! It handles everything I’ve thrown at it , including demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077. (I upgraded the SSD to 2TB and dual-boot between SteamOS and Windows). I also don't miss out on having a console by hooking it up to a docking station and playing from TV with controller.

My son loves it. Excellent purchase, the games run fast, good memory. The only thing I could say is that I had to order the case separately because it doesn't come like others with the case.

Love it. I've always wanted a pc but dont have the money to buy one atm. So this is the next best thing and I have been playing it since I got it.. very happy with this

I loved everything about it. But i wish the screen was a bit bigger. An 8 inch screen would have made this perfect. Hopefully on the the next iteration. But otherwise the ergonomics are ok. Battery life is great.

I Love this thing! Was hesitant to pull the trigger after the original Ally sd card heating issues. But a friend bought one and after letting me use/test it, I had to have it. Got it during Black Friday sale so used the saved $$ to buy a 2TB ssd. Now I can play during my lunch break. Well worth the $$. Highly recommended.

Definitely one of the best if not the best handheld.  set up was a breeze and installing updates was a piece of cake.  I purchased the one terabyte version. This version of the ROG Ally also placed the microSD slot in a different location so it doesn’t burn out microSD cards. It also has better cooling.

The Ally X has become a fast staple device in my household. The convenience of the device compromises with the power to deliver a solid gaming experience. My only advice is to ditch Windows and install SteamOS/BazziteOS. Windows on a handheld is frustrating and clunky.

My favorite recliner device. Is it bulky? A little. Is it fun? A lot. Is it airplane friendly? Definitely! Have used on many flights. Between airplanes and chilling on my recliner. This became my go to.

Absolutely Amazing! I read a lot of reviews and watch a lot of YT videos before making my choice. I chose this over the Steam Deck and Claw AI 8+ because it was overall liked the most across the board.

Hands down the best gaming handheld next to a steam deck. Runs most games as smooth as possible for being a handheld. My best investment in gaming to date.

The ROG Ally X has pros and cons, like any product. Its nice to have on the go, but its battery life is just a max of 3 hours when running something like Overwatch or COD BO6. It can't run many games, and the key mapping can be weird or incompatible on some games. OS of windows is just a bit weird with such a small (touch) screen. Modding does work like a normal PC, and just about anything you can do with a desktop.

Works great, even better than the original Ally. The battery life is impressive.

As expected, storage is still low but they’re releasing the 2tb version on the 8th of December so I you can opt for that I would definitely wait, overall this thing is packing some serious stuff, love it so far. I highly recommend especially the 2tb that’s going to release in a few days from me writing this review.

Yes windows does suck when setting up, and yes using a joystick is a pain to get used to. But u kinda need windows to have compatibility for all games. Great battery life, not too heavy to hold for long periods of time. And somewhat future proof with the extra ram and easier removable storage!

Really good battery life. I like being able to choose the power output depending on games that I am playing depending on their need on the fly as well. Also, it automatically changes to the highest power output when you plug the power cord in. Has really good and comfortable controller design be it with large or small hands.
