As a game developer, ordered this for testing and work. It handles the load perfectly, and when I need to test, I get a good idea of how it performs on an average system. For those that would also use it as a workstation, it might be a good fit, and for those interested in gaming only, it works fantastically.

This thing runs great plays everything i could want it to play and mid to high settings without hiccups, the 4 other windows handhelds i have bought and sold didn't work as good out of the box. The armory crate app has a lot of decent features and tuning available as well. I would suggest this to anyone with real expectations of what a handheld pc can currently due.

Such a great device for the price. I've played so many titles on this now - considerably better than Steam Deck. I would recommend installing Bazzite on this device to make it run smooth with steam

Bro, that battery life tho! Great power to run all games no problem.

Amazing performance, plays elden ring and most modern games. It is basically just a Windows laptop with a console built around it, definitely recommend using a mouse and keyboard plugged into it for device setup

Great for story games, controls not for FPS shooter. Overall recommend, it’s a great device with great battery life and power.

You looking for a PC with no limit to traveling or just want to relax in bed and play, then the Rog Ally X is your device. Bought 2 of these in a spand of a few days and can’t complain. “A win for gaming on the go.”

I’m going to be 100% honest with you. I was so skeptical about purchasing this item because I’ve seen so many mixed reviews. This is one of the best investments I have ever spent my money on. I don’t regret it for a second me and my boyfriend have the time of our lives playing together and if you’re on the fence PLEASE Do not hesitate you will love it!

Very good handheld gaming system. Loved playing it on the go. NBA was a little grainy but all in all loved this device. Told many friends about it and they went and bought one too and loved it. Would be 5/5 if it didn’t crash as much as I’ve had it. Still would recommend though once you get past that happening every now and then.

The device plays most games well for a handheld. I enjoy having all games available on windows. I came from a Steam deck and wanted to play games that required anti cheat. The screen is small for touchscreen use. Microsoft still needs to look into a OS made for handhelds or manufacturers need to make Lenovo size screens.

Device will not charge, requires RMA. Hoped the Ally X wouldn't suffer the same quality issues as the Ally. I was wrong. Always kept in a case, with a screen protector. Never traveled with it. about 30 hours of use, and it will not accept a charge from either USB port. Pros: Nice battery life on retro games, or indie titles. Nice ergonomics. Great performance. Cons: buttons are loud, cheap feeling. ASUS quality is ion the gutter. No longer trust the brand.

I had the rog ally x and loved it! This one is easier to navigate and faster on everything. Would recommend to anyone! The employees answered all my questions about it and knew everything I wanted to know.

Great Handheld! better than the Steam Deck period! Plays all my games and i also have it attached to a eGPU through a USB4 dock for better graphics in certain games when i am at home! Definitely recommend it!

Booting up, installing what I needed and playing was smooth as butter. No issues or bugs, runs very well on extreme graphics for most games. Very satisfied.

I travel overseas a lot and the ROG Ally X allows me to pass the time when chilling in the hotel room. So far I’ve only played Xbox GamePass games and all have worked well except Return to Castle Wolfenstein - can’t get it to run. Make sure you enable offline gaming on your Microsoft account. One complaint, it’s difficult for me to hold the controls and tilt the screen to view straight on. If the screen could rotate that would fix this issue.
