It is a handheld pc that can only do about half of what a pc can do. The only way to not fill it up is to cloud game on Xbox but most of the games do not even have support for handhelds.

This rog ally couldn't run some ps2 game like hitman blood and money and thats a old game dont waste your money in this one xbox rog ally

Not What I Expected for Modern Games

I bought the ROG Xbox Ally looking for an alternative to play my game library without feeling like I was using a laptop. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed when I realized that some games don’t run well at all. A clear example is Fortnite — the experience was honestly pretty bad. If you’re a casual gamer and mostly play older-generation games (PS3 or Xbox 360–level), this device might make sense for you. But if you’re looking for something more powerful, I’d strongly recommend looking at other options. I ended up switching to the ROG Ally X (the black one), and that was the right move for me.

If you are experiencing system freeze or performance issue with the device, check if Windows, drivers, BIOS and games are up to date. Updates for the ROG Ally are posted at: https://rog.asus.com/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-xbox-ally-2025/helpdesk_download/ . Additionally, check if you are running the most current Armoury Crate utility software. The most current version is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/. While accessing cloud games or web applications, please ensure the device has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will affect system stability and performance. Keeping the device always updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "MyASUS" utility software or application.
