I previously bought and then returned the ROG Ally, not the Ally X, because it's interface with using just Windows as a starting point didn't work well for me. This Xbox ROG Ally is much more user friendly and seems more powerful and I've really enjoyed using it so far. It uses full screen Xbox or Steam apps which streamlines the user experience. I won't be returning this model.

Bought this gaming device several weeks back I want to say I'm at a month at having it at this point. Definitely enjoying this device, it's powerful does a lot of stuff that I can't even keep up with. This isn't my first gaming device I have others but it plays any game that I play on it. At this point I only have like six games on it and I do have the game pass subscription. As far as people complaining about the battery I have not seen a big disadvantage with that I just make sure I charge it before I use it. This thing is literally like a mini computer. I wanted the X version but it was definitely more expensive so I got this one but no regrets

The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally is a comfortable, high-quality handheld with a sharp 1080p/120Hz screen and great ergonomics. It runs Windows, giving you access to Steam, Xbox PC games, and cloud gaming, but performance is mid-range for heavy AAA titles. A good choice for portable indie and casual gaming — less ideal if you want top-tier performance for modern big games.

So in love with Rog Ally X! Convenient and battery life is great. Now i wished i got the 1TB instead of the 500gb

Arrived on release date! That was fantastic. The device it’s self is great, I have not complaints. I can actually use my Xbox headset to connect via voice chat without having to use wired connection, even connects to my shockz! I love it. Plays AAA games perfect, minor lag in cloud play, doesn’t not get hot like the Ally 7’s do. Battery Life is amazing, I have not run it dead playing COD yet.

I got this a couple of weeks and loved almost everything it had to offer. The xbox grips make gaming really comfortable. The sound quality was really good. The picture quality was good for not being an oled screen. Having the ability to use steam, xbox, gog or epic launcher for games is really nice. You can also stream games from steam similarly to the Playstation portable. One thing id say is the power leaves a lot to be desired. It ran mass effect legendary collection good, halo master cheif collection good and left 4 dead 2 with mods really well. When it came to spider man 2 and battlefield 6, it was a rough experience with low ghraphical settings and turbo settings on. Tired to get college football 14 revamped working on a ps3 emulator and was getting 1-14 fps. Didnt matter if the revamped mod was installed or not, if it was on turbo settings or tweaked settings in the emulator itself. Id say either stick with the Rog Ally A1E or pony up for the ROG ally xbox x. I guess id say you would have to ask yourself if you wanna try AAA games on it or stick to more of older titles.

It's a great product but due to the ram size and and storage space it's worth paying the extra 500 dollars for more ram and storage and get the ally x but if your wanting something for the kids or for light gaming this is a great device.

This device is just what I’ve been needing. I can play older game, or even remote play from my Xbox Series X from my couch. Not as powerful as the Xbox Ally X, but if you don’t plan on playing graphically intense game natively, then you should definitely consider buying this device. ESPECIALLY if you own an Xbox. Very comfortable to hold for long periods. Battery lasts a good amount depending on what games you play. 512GB of storage is okay, wish it was more, but you can always get a microSD card.

Things great. My 3 year old loves snuggling next to me to watch me play the littler games i dont need a pc to run. Only issue ive seen is windows software related. And ive found a way to make the issue a non factor. But it can get fixed with updates. Cant put in password when logging into windows.

I really liked it but it was not ready for prime time. It was comfrotable , astectically pleasing and not that difficult to set up ( although it was a lengthy process ). Also I feel like it was 150-$200 too expensive for what it delivered in performance . Returned it but plan on buy the Ally X version.

I loved using this . I loved it so much I returned it and upgraded to the better model . This is great for on the go gaming if quality issues doesn’t bother you

I mostly like the fact its easy to use! Also, it takes handhelds to the next level! By far the best purchase I’ve made!

Great budget device for handheld gaming. Originally it was 500 when I looked at it, but it jumped to 600 so I bought an open box for 530. Works great everything was there and no damage. Can struggle on certain games like No Man's Sky, but overall a capable device.

Has the same performance of a steam deck but with better ergonomics. I wouldn't buy it for the list price wait for a sale and it will be worth it.

A real mini PC that can play games on Steam, GamePass, and Playstation Plus. It works really well, graphics look great also. I'm glad I finally made the purchase. I didn't know what I was missing.

ROG Xbox Ally: Definitely recommend. Ive played sea of thieves, gta5, arc raiders CodBo7.. smooth. Graphics are pretty much 4k. I didnt expect it to be pretty much a full on pc, this thing is sick

This is an amazing piece of equipment. It's fast, I can play anywhere, and it was affordable!

Great device, might not be the full Xbox everyone wanted, but I think being able to play steam games is even better than that. I would only buy if it’s on the 489$ discount though, otherwise get a leigon go s or steam deck.
