Great Gaming Handheld
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was great for a handheld and as long as you don’t care about running ultra super mega graphics for games it will run most games just fine….also my hands sometimes go numb after holding my Nintendo Switch Lite….not for the ROG Ally….the hand grips don’t allow for the normal numbness I feel after holding my switch for a while.

ROG Xbox Ally review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As long as your expectations are tempered, this is a wonderful Handheld device, the Ryzen Z2A is basically a Steam Deck APU with higher clocks and power targets delivering a comfortable gaming experience at 1080p, and a fantastic battery life for gaming on the go, the fact that this device supports DisplayPort pass through means that you can transform this from a little handheld device to a full desktop style setup with a monitor, mouse and keyboard with only one USB dock, absolutely recommend for anyone who travels or is looking for a small gaming device without the hassle of juggling cables and space for a laptop

ROG XBOX ALLY
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the ROG Xbox Ally handheld for a bit now, and here are my honest thoughts: What I Like Great ergonomics & screen: It feels comfortable in the hands for long gaming sessions, and the 7″ 1080p display with 120 Hz looks sharp and smooth. Windows + Xbox experience: I love having access to all my PC games and Xbox Game Pass titles in one device — it’s like a portable gaming PC and console in one. Good for indie & casual titles: Games that aren’t super demanding run great, and cloud gaming through Game Pass also works really well.

Awesome Product!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great purchase! Purchased for my husband for his birthday because he travels for work and this helps with the time on flights and nights at the hotel. He loves that he can play his Xbox games, but also enjoys that he can play steam games as well. Screen size is a great size and the sound is amazing. The handle grips make it easy to handle and play. My husband is very happy with it.

Excellent performance and great design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.his product exceeded my expectations. The build quality feels solid and comfortable, and the performance has been smooth and reliable from day one. Setup was easy, controls are responsive, and everything works exactly as advertised. It’s clear a lot of thought went into the design and user experience. I’ve been using it regularly and have had no issues at all. Definitely worth the purchase and I would recommend it to anyone considering it.

One of the good “inexpensive” handheld PC
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not too heavy and comfortable for big hands. Some little issues in the beginning like on screen keyboard not working. Don’t expect to play the new triple A games of 2026. The down side is that unfortunately whatever XBox game you digitally bought on the console won’t show up in the pre installed app so you’re more forced to try cloud gaming. There might be a work around but I haven’t really looked into it. For Steam games tried Counter Strike and was not able to play in any lobby again there might be a work around but haven’t looked into it. Then there is the fact that some past triple A games would definitely need to start at the lowest graphic settings to check if they run smoothly; you just need to play around with the setting afterwards to see if they can go higher with the quality, stability and performance. Overall good buy and would recommend.

decent budget handheld gaming PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent budget model handheld PC with the best form factor for comfortable handheld gaming on the market. It's Xbox marketing will disappoint a lot of people who will fine the Windows Full Screen Experience (FSA) a shallow replacement for an actual Xbox experience, but it does run a surprising number of top tier games just fine....notably Microsoft published titles like Horizon 5, Gears 5 and Gears Reloaded, Halo Master Chief Collection, etc. all run pretty well on this, but other games may struggle. It's hampered by only 512GB of storage, and the expansion slot for an SSD is often insufficient for running modern games, but I use the SSD slot to load older games and less demanding titles. Get this thing on sale if you can find it and want a Steam Deck replacement, and aren't too worried about high end performance (say, you prefer indie titles and older titles for gaming). But if you want performance and can save up to get something better (such as the Xbox Ally X) I suggest you do that. My personal preferred handheld is the Legion Go 2, but you can buy like 2 and 1/2 of these for the same price so YMMV.

A pretty good handheld
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, it was quite a good experience as a person who never used a handheld before. I've seen other ones that performs better or optimized well despite its lower prices like the steam deck. But considering the current situation with the steam decks being out of stock, I think this handheld is an excellent choice especially when it is on sale. The performance wasn't so bad overall(although don't get too much expectation since it is apparently a downgrade version of the X model) and while it has some cons such as constant Windows updates etc, the comfortable grip is what makes this feeling of holding it much more compelling. The screen was also bigger than I thought as well.

Overall pretty good PC handheld
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good handheld for light PC gaming. Best for 720p gaming on fairly low settings. Really good for older games, mixed results for newer games. I do enjoy the full screen Xbox experience, it makes it a lot easier to navigate than the previous generation. However, I found the previous generation to be a little better to hold this one feels a little bulky with the new controller design. Great looking display even though it is only an LCD. Overall a pretty good experience.

It’s decent
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it does exactly what it was made to do. Through steam most of the steam deck compatible games play flawlessly but sometimes there are input errors. It’s frustrating setting up the device if you aren’t exactly tech savvy but most should be able to boot and play whatever they desire from the gamepass. It’s not going to run triple A games perfectly but you can play some that are optimized for handhelds. When you first get the device it takes a while for it to boot. I think it took me 30 minutes to an hour just for initial boot and updates. If you’re deep into the Microsoft ecosystem like I am then this is a great choice but there are definitely better options for the price point.

Great Entry Into PC Handheld Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered my Xbox Ally day one. Takes time to get all the updates and learning curve on tweaking the settings but once you do this game can handle pretty much everything. Playing Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV and MK 11 with no issues. Setting are low anything more you will deal with stutter but I got this to play on the go. High end graphics is on my Series X

Rog ally
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great product but due to the ram size and and storage space it's worth paying the extra 500 dollars for more ram and storage and get the ally x but if your wanting something for the kids or for light gaming this is a great device.

Decent handheld for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its not insanely performant, I got about 30-40 fps on eldend ring on low. But for playing lighter indie games its really nice with that 120hz screen. Windows Handheld edition is.... okay. Definitely one of the down-sides of this handheld. Shoutout to Max B. And Malcei T. They were very helpful and gave me very good info while buying it.

Very Solid Handheld
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish it cost a little less, but other than that I think this is a very solid handheld. It's comfortable to hold, it plays most games well, the screen is 1080p 16:9 so you won't have any annoying black bars in games like some other PC handhelds and the SSD is super easy to upgrade unlike some other PC handhelds.

Works well, not as intuitive as the steam
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great as a handheld console. You can really feel the design pushing towards xbox interface, at least initially out of the box, though. Once gettingnit into steammode it works fairly well and is able to ddo a pretty good job at doing all a steam deck can.
