this device allows you to play game whenever you want however you want. I can play my core Xbox library via cloud or direct download depending on the title additionally the doors it opened to pc gaming is amazing. i would recommend this to EVERYONE with an establish Xbox and steam library. it is an investment! and having to buy games on top of that would make it a little too much for me. but with my current library it is a deal you can't resist. The ROG Xbox Ally is awesome!

Great PC Handheld, if you know what you want. Best choice if you can’t afford the legion go 2 / care more about portability than a better screen

Its like having a switch on the go but for games that aren’t available on a switch and the handles feel great

must say love the device it is my go to for gaming and other thing to do on windows plus shipping and handeling was great

I have a Steam Deck (LED 256g), Gen1 Ally Z1e, and Gen1 MSI Claw (i5). I love my handhelds, but the power and comfort of the Xbox Ally X is outstanding. If I use FSR, I can get over 60 fps on Doom The Dark Ages, 1080/handheld settings. It's a real beaut. The larger battery and faster RAM really make a difference as well. The Xbox full screen experience has a ways to go before it's perfect, or if you prefer, you could always install Bazzite and have a super Steam Deck

While Win11 Xbox mode stuff is nice for Windows store apps, 3rd party store integrations falls apart. Win11 also is slower performance, still takes up a lot of ram, comes with Office, OneDrive, MS Teams etc installed etc (which makes no sense). Win11 setup process is buggy too. MS needed to actually clean up Win11 way way way more than this nonsense. Steams interface is much better. You can use BazziteOS or ReignOS on this. I'm sure SteamOS will support it to if it doesn't already.

Right out of the box, if I start playing a game with default Armoury Crate/AMD Adrenaline Functions, games in general can run pretty poorly, worse than a Steam Deck, which runs many things well out of the box. But, if you really take the time to optimize these settings, this blows every handheld out of the water. It really is great; you just need to put time into optimization, and then it is pretty hands-free after that.

I really like this handheld. feels great the battery life is great and I havent had too many issues. I do not understand why this needs copilot and microsoft office demos pre installed on it. there was a good 45 mins of removing microsoft junk from the device but after that it was good I would recommend the debrand tempered glass (because dust looks like scratches on it)and kill switch case becasue its a great case and has a kick stand

Fantastic device! First handheld and basically any game that is triple AAA or small indie have been great on here.

Overall great device a bit high on the price but you do get what you paid for. Playing Arc raiders is great on this thing.

A-1 very nice device. Need to have a little bit knowledge about PCs though. Updates and what not.

Really great handheld, the power and the ability to play from different apps

Very good product that plays all the games I want. Fans aren’t too loud and battery life is great. However the controller itself could be better, while the holding it feels great the buttons aren’t the quality I would expect from a 1000 dollar purchase as the front facing ones are very loud. My trigger buttons also make a strange noise.

This product was a must get for me due to travel that way I did not have to travel with my Xbox when flying.
