Way better than expected coming from an Xbox Series X and hoping for a similar experience on mobile. Power of a PC and ease of use like an Xbox. Super pleased with the purchase, Accessories are a must. I travel for work and use the dock to connect to the hotel TV. I bought the Killswitch case to protect it completely yet minimize space in my backpack. Plenty of connections for a mouse or keyboard if you need it.

Did everything I expected it too. Waited a while to purchase and when I finally got it, it was nothing short of awesome. Portable game, entertainment system and computer all at once. Buy a case portable keyboard and mouse and you set forever

The ROG Xbox Ally X is a good device, however it is held back by two glaring issues, the screen is small for the power it delivers, and the ram could be bigger. First off, they could have gotten rid of the ugly bezels that are seen on the other Ally models and made the screen a bit bigger. This would make the visibility of the screen so much better, after experiencing an 8 inch panel, 7 inches for a computer gaming device is a little small for my taste. The other main issue with it is the 24GB of ram, for $1100 after tax you would think it would be possible for Asus to at-least put 32GB of ram into the device, allowing for a bit more wiggle room when it comes to device memory, especially after they cheaped out on the screen and slapped an older model panel on it. It isn’t all negative though, as the new chip delivers some serious power at lower wattages. The Z2 extreme delivers almost the same performance as other devices on wall power at half the wattage, this means you can play games with almost double the amount of battery life while sacrificing very little performance compared to older handhelds that would chew through the battery to have the same performance. Pair that with the best ergonomics and speakers on the market right now and you have a beast of a handheld. Overall, if this device had an 8 inch screen and just a tad bit more ram it would easily be the best handheld on the market hands down.

I love this thing! The battery life is really nice on non-AAA gaming titles (such as Hades 2). Plugged in, I'm getting a smooth experience on more higher fidelity games. The new ergonomics make it super comfortable and good for long gaming sessions. The new Windows Gaming mode thing is nice, but definitely needs some further enhancements. Very happy with this one!

So i bought this to have as a travel version of my xbox, yes you can play your xbox games, this does require the remote play to be active on your console. It's a 7" screen stop leaving negative comments about the size of the screen, you bought knowing it. SO far this has played every game that its been thrown, palworld, ready or not, battlefield 6, FC26, where winds meet. Granted you may have to adjust some settings for them to run smooth but google will help you with those settings. This is in my opinion a great option for someone on the move, who cant sit at a pc all day. WATCH "DO THIS" videos, to help you get all the updates and setup process done. I would recommend this to anyone, and I have done so. My son, my co-worker have bought them and are loving them.

For a handheld console, this is best on the market. Even though the price tag is scary to look at, I believe you will get your money worth if you do travel a lot or not at home all the time. Im using the handheld as my main console and pc as of right now and I absolutely love it. I play a lot of newer titles and the storage does end up to be a problem so I will buy sd card but besides that I think the device is actually surprisingly better than I thought.

Works well, not hard to configure, easy access, good battery life. sounds great, looks really good.

I have been in love with the device! It's a handheld PC! I can play my steam, Xbox, and Emulators on it just fine! And with a dock, I'm even able to play games like World of Warcraft on the go. Shipping from Best Buy was honestly pretty quick. I received it a day after my purchase.

I love it, i can keep playing my games wherever i go. The sound is amazing and playing looks fantastic and smooth.

First, I want to say this is an amazing piece of tech with the ergonomics above and beyond any handheld i have ever owned. It has so much power, yet somehow, it doesn't feel heavier than the Switch 2. Its definitely thicker than the switch 2. As for the Steam Deck and Legion Go 2, i prefer this machine over the Lehion Go 2 and its due to the comfort. Steam deck is showing its age but its still the best place to play steam only games. The Xbox full screen experience is definitely a step forward but it doent totally mask that this is a PC at its core. But the things it does right like auto optimization of the games for machine, booting up first into Xbox and cloud streaming works flawlessly. So don't believe too much of the hype that its a console because thats not 100% accurate. It is definitely a PC that can be used as an Xbox console. I think that is the best way to describe it.

I didn’t want to wait until mid-December to get my hands on this system. So, I took a risk and went open Box Excellent. And it was excellent; it had all items and the original box. This device looked brand-new, no scratches, nothing wrong and I saved $50. The initial setup was like any PC setup; I get people who want to plug and play this as a console but it’s not a console. It’s a PC handheld and requires a PC setup. Once you get past all that this is a great buy and has great value. The Fulle screen experience is awesome, and this thing can push out a great gaming experience. I hear the noise of you can’t play console games or digital library, blah, blah, blah, blah. If the game has an Xbox play anywhere tag you can play it. If you are looking to play Xbox, 360, Xbox one times, or Series X/S titles those can also be played but you must stream them through the cloud and or remote into your Xbox. I have no problem doing it, either on the road traveling or sitting at my house. Yes, eventually Microsoft has said these items will be able to launch natively but right now that doesn’t matter because you still have access to them anyway. But most people complaining about retro games don’t even play them anyway. The real question is do you enjoy games and do you enjoy this experience of how to play them. I say yes, 100% I do. If you are on the fence, just wait it out. I enjoy having this as a handheld and I also enjoy docking it because docked it’s a beast in it of itself. If you are open to a PC handheld with a dedicated full screen experience and the freedom to leave it this is for you. Also, the grips are unmatched by any handheld out, they just feel right, and you have no hand cramps after hours of play. Xbox/ROG 100% nailed the ergo on this handheld and I haven’t put it down yet.

This handheld is exactly what I was looking for - exceptional performance, easy to operate, comfortable to hold, and great battery life. It handles all my favorite games very well (Battlefield, Fallout 4, Outerworlds 2, Starfield, Cyberpunk) with amazing graphics output. As a long-time Xbox fan, the controller and home screen is familiar. I would highly recommend! I preordered and Bestbuy got it delivered to my door on launch day, which was a huge plus!

Solid handheld Great feel Great battery life And surprisingly plays a lot of high demanding games pretty well

Runs games good, can install anything windows compatible, and the ASUS UI is easy to use.

Very nice upgrade over the ROG Ally Z1E with better performance, ergonomics, and battery life with more headroom for future titles but the 7-inch screen with a large bezel is a huge turn-off for me and I hope a future Xbox handheld can improve the size of the screen to either be more like the Steam Deck OLED or the Switch 2 which is my personal sweet spot. A big upgrade over the Z1E for me is that I can use an SD card properly now so I have a 2TB SSD plus a 1TB Samsung SD card for lighter titles.

Used many handhelds, and I love the feel of this handheld and the performance it offers. Here is my Quick Summary: - Ergonomics GREAT - Performance GREAT @ 17 watts & 20 watts - Xbox Full Screen Experience COOL @ Beta - Screen Size COOL @ 8inch is the sweet spot - Speakers GREAT Make sure to optimize the device review @128kb Youtube recommendations and Full Screen is still half baked. If your using AFMF make sure Anti-Lag is on for better experience. For handheld VRR needs to be supported from 30+fps however ROGXAlly is 48+fps.

I've been using this handheld PC for a month and I couldn't be happier. It's been a been a great upgrade to my ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. I'm not deep in the PC side, but this feels better that my ROG Ally. Ergonomics wise it feels much more robust with a more defined hand placement. Made it easier for me to play without the random thumb touches that change the screen. The bigger battery and new layout, made for longer play time with less overheating. While mileage may vary by games, I found the playtime almost doubled while on battery. The upgraded Xbox app in big picture mode allowing the access of other store fronts has streamlined my gameplay experience. The gaming experience has been better in every way. The only negatives I have is the price ($1000 is a heavy lift), and while everything is streamlined you still have to deal with Windows updates. And like everyone else probably I would love more storage, but all in all I am satisfied with my purchase.

I originally had the legion go 2 and while the screen was beautiful, it was just too big and clunky for a handheld. I ended up selling it and going with this because this, is what a handheld should be! Lightweight, portable and powerful but still efficient. The Z2 Extreme’s main selling point is being able to pump out power but at lower tdp’s which in return give you longer gaming sessions but at still great performance. I also decided to go with this because of all the driver updates and focus on this device from xbox and asus. The “per game profile” is a very nice to have where u just hit a button and it optimizes the game so that you sont have to be tinkering. I am very happy with my device and will be keeping for a very long time

Amazing. I use it everyday because it makes gaming more convenient and practical. It plays both Xbox and Steam games. To my knowledge it’s the first Xbox branded device that you can play Sony games like God of War, Last of Us, and Spider-Man.

100% completely satisfied with my purchase. From the picture to performance, everything is TOP NOTCH. Price a little on the steep wide, but what more could you ask for for the price.
