Shipped fast, product was in excellent condition upon arrival despite being an open box purchase. Controller feels good and is comfortable for extended play time. Battery life is excellent! I am very pleased with my purchase!

I absolutely love this new console! The ability to play most of my Xbox games on the go, on the same device as my extensive steam library, is a literal game changer! I will admit the price is quite steep, but you get a high quality device for the cost, and I have been nothing but impressed since getting it!

I love the ROG Xbox Ally X! Its incredibly convenient to take on the go and have all my pc games at my fingertips. The Xbox full screen experience is truly a game changer over other handhelds. I also love using this on a dock and connecting it to my tv.

Got on release day and it was a super nice handheld, as long as you have your expectations set that this is a portable device that will not perform like your console or desktop. Like other reviews mention the Xbox naming on this is a bit weird, and people have bought this and the lower tier one expecting it to play all the games they own already which it cannot do.

Xbox Ally X is a wonderful entry way into Steam and PC Gaming with added capabilities on the Xbox full screen experience. Great sound and easy to hold in your hands. If you dont already own a ROG Ally X or STEAM DECK Oled, give this one a try and make sure you get the Asus Bulwark Dock as it enhances the experience!

Best gaming decision I’ve made. The Xbox ROG runs anything anything I throw at it and the battery lasts for 3-4 full hours of continuous gameplay.

This item is great and i enjoy it more and more. I love the option to use as pc as well to be able to stream when i am away from home. I have alot to learn but will continue too.

It’s great. Battery life is phenomenal, performance is great but not too much of an increase from the normal ally x. The big improvement from the ally x is lower watt performance and ergonomics. The only bad thing is windows. Just install Linux like bazzite or steamos and it’s the perfect handheld gaming device.

If this is a first PC handheld, this is a very expensive purchase for a first PC handheld. That being said the ease of switching between PC applications for gaming such as steam epic Xbox is so easy. You’re really paying for the convenience of being able to access PC application environments for handheld with ease. My biggest detractor is having two USB ports both on top of the handheld. If you run this on turbo performance, that area has the fence that are dissipating the heat you will feel the heat and also with the way that is positioned if you play that in true handheld not tabletop mode, not dark mode if you have a dock, pure handheld mode, you have to constantly be cogs in of how much heat and noise comes from using the turbo that being said paying $1000 to have a tabletop mode based upon a piece of cardboard is really low budget to me. The Nintendo switch to add a fraction of this cost gives you a plastic table top mode attached to the handheld. That is my definite preference versus this piece of cardboard, but overall expensive is $1000 is, you’re paying for ease of use and you’re paying for potential should Microsoft come through in a stronger way with their cloud gaming and access to their Game Pass. Last thing is the Game Pass three months is not even a bonus if you already have Game Pass, this is negligible if you’re even able to use it. I have not been able to link it to my account without being prompted as if I was viewing a new account each time. So I haven’t utilized my three month bonus.

Hands down best handheld ive had, use to have the z1 ally extreme , and tried out the claw as well but this one hits the mark with battery life and comfortability. Able to play most AAA games on the go or while im on lunch at work, best investment ive made in a minite

Runs great. It's basically a mid range laptop but much more portable. The 120hz touch screen is very responsive as well. I have had no complaints about it so far, I've played titles such as outer worlds 2 with decent performance as well as a few indie titles since receiving it.

Fantastic handheld with great ergonomics. I had an original Ally and the holding of the device always felt off and never comfortable, but man does this new one fix those issues. Feels similar to holding a legitimate controller (if you don’t pay attention to the weight of it). I haven’t had really any issues except for rendering issues on UE5 games (most notably Marvel Rivals). No matter what settings I use, whether I max the game out or go as low as it can go, I always have some sort of shadow rendering issue. It seems to only load shadows about 20M from my character in some instances, and that’s really noticeable on maps with interiors. I reached out to ASUS and the Ally Reddit with no responses on what that could be, but it seems to only be an issue with Unreal Engine 5 games. I’m able to run Black Ops 6 at decent settings running around 120fps with AMD Frame Gen on, 80 with it off. It is very different from aiming with a controller on a console to this handheld, so I haven’t really been able to go competitive multiplayer without having a real noticeable accuracy and response downside as compared to playing on my PC or consoles.

Like the Title says, this handheld is amazing!! Super comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. Battery life is pretty good as long as you don't keep it in Turbo Mode lol. I switched from a Legion Go to this and couldn't be happier!!!

So far i aint got any problems with it. Battery life is awesome. I did upgrade the ssd storage myself, which was very easy. I do recommend it to others. I travel a lot for work and this is great on the go. I do have a steam deck but if you have the extra cash go for it.

Good. Nice to use. Gotta do a lot of downloads before it runs smoothly, but seems to be that way with a lot of electronics, especially expensive ones. Since this is a handheld computer, there are applications that aren't needed. A little hard to navigate sometimes. Some games have yet to be programmed to be on the handheld that render some gaming features unavailable, like the gaming AI system. However, they do tell you that before downloading, so that's nice. Overall, very nice device to play games on anywhere.

This has been great. I picked this over the steam deck. I have been able to play most games without issue. Madden has some slight stuttering but I read that may be an EA issue. My only complaint is the battery life. If traveling or not able to plug it in, you get a solid hour and then it dies. You need a power bank or something to extend timing. For offline gaming it’s best to put the games directly on the device which is an added cost.

Perfect for traveling or when I’m being lazy and do not want to go upstairs to game. I also got the dock to hook it up to my tv and plug a controller in. 10/10 love this thing. Comfortable as can be because of the grips too.

Life long console gamer. First time handheld Pc user. Learning curve for the basics wasn’t to bad. Plays great and very comfortable to hold. Even though it’s not an OLED screen it looks great. Screen size is good for me but wouldn’t mind an 8inch. Multiple game stores to find what interest you. A very powerful entry level gaming platform with ease of use. Storage space not an issue but will be my first upgrade.

Overall extremely impressed, It's a little heavier than a steam deck but sits comfortably in my hands....It feels solid and I love that the joysticks light up.
