I think this device is really solid. IMO it has the best ergonomics in the handheld pc space currently. Software support is very strong, and performance is extremely solid. It gets criticized for the screen size, but i found myself immersed in late night gaming sessions in bed. The face buttons are a little loud, but i think you play a lot of offline games and want to maximize playing on the go, this is probably your best option. The 17-20 watt range is truly the sweet spot for Z2E chip on this device.

I’ve been loving my ROG Ally X, it’s perfect for gaming on the go. I travel a lot, so not having to bring my whole Xbox console is a huge win. It’s powerful, portable, and runs everything smoothly wherever I am.

So far so good. I was going back and forth between this and the LG2, and the reason i choose this one was because the ssd is easier to upgrade, unlike the LG2, which you have to remove the system fan to get access to the ssd. Plus the ally is much lighter and comfortable to hold while playing a game. Plus I'd rather take the $1400 and spend it on a mid to top tier gaming laptop that would out perform the LG2 and be better in the upgradeable category. I love the ROG xbox ally x, especially since I upgraded the ssd to 8tb.

Good games good for gifts decent storage and clear gaming

The ROG Xbox Ally X 7" is awesome handled platform that has great graphics and power under the hood to play all my games. I really like how I can play both Xbox Titles and Steam games on this handheld. Also it comes packed with utilities like the Armoury Crate that makes tweaking performance and Controller options very easy to do. I don't think you can go wrong with this handheld.

Power system, plays games great. The screen pops, the controls are tight and responsive without too much fan noise The only drawback is the windows OS platform. But if you own a Steam Deck already, I can't recommend this until they deal with the OS.

If you’re an on the go gamer and love the thought of a hybrid Xbox/pc that can run things amazingly well, this is a must buy. Takes some getting used to software wise, but this thing is a beast. While we haven’t hit 4k levels just yet, I can’t speak highly enough of the ROG Xbox Ally X

It's comfortable to hold, it can run performance-demanding games like Elden Ring pretty well, and it has really good storage. The only things keeping it from being 5 5-star are that it's overpriced and has no OLED screen.

I’ve been using it for about a week and I’ve enjoyed using it on the go. There was a slight problem at first and I had to get a new one however when I went to get it fixed the employees were very helpful and I ended up getting it exchanged for a new one. Th console is lighter than you’d expect and it can pretty much do whatever you want whether it’s modding games, emulators, or just playing your whole steam library. With the right specs aswell u could get it to last 12 hrs on not triple A games

More than just a gaming pad in your hands. Its a full spec computer. Amazing battery life too.

The ROG Xbox Ally X is as comfortable as a handheld gaming device can be. The sound is amazing. It’s powerful and can play anything you throw at it. The only downside is the screen size and big bezels above and below the screen. They make the screen feel smaller than it is. If the next Ally X has a bigger screen it would be the perfect gaming handheld.

Can do so much with this product. Play games in the palm of my hand, watch TV. Perform my work related task hooked up to my monitor throughout the day etc etc. so many uses it just fits into my lifestyle

A few months in with it and i take it absolutely everywhere that i might have a little down time. The ergonomics are excellent and the battery life is enjoyable. It can play just about all of my favorite titles with ease and overall it's just a blast to have with me wherever i go.

I love the steam deck, this is just a more powerful model. It really is a computer in my hands. I have access to Xbox, steam, and others. It’s pricy but I do love the quality of the build.

Great handheld device, runs great games like battlefield 6 and other high power end games or new generation game, as long as the power cord is plug, the control is smooth and amazing similar to a xbox, the power under the hood is also great, the only downside of this product is the price, and sometimes the interface between windows, xbox and steam gets cluncky, but overall great product, if you are a gamer on the go, or people at your house use your tv, buy it.

Ok, so they updated the description since I bought it, but this isn't what it appears to be. I thought I was getting a portable X-Box Console and could play all my favorite games on the road. Ohhh Nooo, its this not that, this is a windows 11 computer running the xbox application, which means all classic titles and backwards compatibility is gone. Sorry no portals or other older games on this one. Also, most new titles require internet connection to play, those that do not require the Microsoft Cloud to save your progress, so don't think your going to playing Assassin's Creed on that 8 hour flight to EU, or if you are, forget about saving your progress. If you're still reading, don't get me wrong, if you need a portable XBOX this is it. With a port or even a USB-C to HDMI cable, this can turn into a travel version to use where you have Internet access and access to a larger tv or monitor. It's 5 ghz WiFI works great a mobile hotspots. I've even got it to connect to an older Xbox X Controller and hooked it up to 40 inch TV for larger experience. Note: both Firmware and Windows UPDATES are a must. Glitches other have reported are solved by these or at least greatly reduced in either frequency or annoyance factor. This comes with a Game Pass Subscription, which I already had a better version, but still very nice. Since it's windows 11, it pairs nicely with any bluetooth enabled headphones, although others have heard the sounds if the volume is too high even with good headphones. ASUS made firmware and other ROG Xbox Ally X features configurable with their own app and a quick short cut to get to common features. The screen is small and does catch the glare from sun and lights so finding the right location to game is key. I've used it with hotspots, free wifi, no internet both in solo and dock configurations. until I upgraded firmware, sometime had trouble with xbox not responding to controller (either built in or external), so far firmware and windows updates resolved the problem. One problem is when switching to external controller, games like Call of Duty and others, try to change to Mouse and keyboard configurations, so had to change them back to a controller with a blue tooth mouse in the game settings not device settings. Probably recommend a bluetooth keyboard as well if you want to use video streaming or other windows apps, but be careful, the more you load windows apps the more risk and less hard drive space you have for gaming. Pricey, but if you find yourself waiting hours for family members, or traveling a lot and missing your xbox, then this is device for you.

Way better than the original. Been using it a ton compared to the old one, lot more powerful and polished.

So far, I'm pretty happy with this. I have arthritis in my hands, and I've found it really comfortable to hold for long periods. I spend all day on a computer at work, so it's nice to be able to switch to a handheld instead of another PC to play all the PC games I've collected. I've synced up and downloaded from Steam, Epic Games, GOG, and others with no issues. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I'm not able to play all of my Xbox games on this. I thought that would be possible, and was one of the things I was really looking forward to, but it's only PC compatible games which does not include very many of the Xbox games I already own. This would be perfect if it could also do remote play like the PS Portal, so I had access to all my Xbox and PC games in one handheld. I
