I absolutely love it. I'm coming from a steamdeck OLED and without a doubt I'm loving this thing more. It runs on windows instead of linux so it can add a little corkiness with updates and stuff but because it's windows that allows you to play every pc game that steamdeck doesnt allow because of Linux. Also this handheld is just much faster and powerful you won't be disappointed. Even at the price I try not to complain when knowing there are other handhelds that cost more already and are not as powerful.

Great handheld pc. I've been playing many new games with little to no issues. The Outer Worlds 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, Oblivion Remaster, etc. My only complaints is the new windows handheld mode is kinda glitchy (but I'm certain it will be cleaned up) and the buttons are a little clicky which is somewhat annoying. No regrets buying it.

Love the product! The ease of having my Xbox on the go is great. Only reason I have 4 stars is due to not being able to access all games due it being pc based. So some games like GTA I would need to start over. I still use my Xbox console as my primary.

The most powerful handheld gaming system I've ever had! Great user friendly device with enough power to easily play Cloud Based Online RPGs. Graphics are top notch and sound system is equally impressive. Highly recommend!

I am extremely impressed with this purchase. It will run games my cheap gaming laptop cannot. It's fast downloads, fast booting applications and games. Great on the run to friends houses or having it docked to utilize my mouse and keyboard or just hop on the couch in front of the fire. 10/10 recommend buying this for yourself or a friend that wants to get into gaming

I ended up visiting the Tanasbourne Best Buy twice during the holiday season—first for the ASUS ROG Ally X, then about a month later for the LG B5 OLED—and both experiences were so good that I knew I had to leave a review. During my first visit, I went in just planning to “look around,” but the gaming associate made it incredibly easy to choose the ROG Ally X. They answered every question, let me try it hands-on, and explained the features in a way that actually made sense. I left feeling confident I’d made the perfect choice for portable gaming. Fast forward a month, and I was back for a new TV. Even during the busy holiday rush, the home theater team still took their time to walk me through the OLED models, showed me demo scenes on the LG B5 OLED, and explained why it was the best fit for what I wanted. No pressure—just honest, helpful guidance. Both purchases were smooth, price matches were handled without any hassle, and every associate I interacted with went above and beyond. Great new technology. First time having a Hand-held console and it has impressive peeformance. The portable advantage gives a more immersive aspect.

I have a Steam Deck (LED 256g), Gen1 Ally Z1e, and Gen1 MSI Claw (i5). I love my handhelds, but the power and comfort of the Xbox Ally X is outstanding. If I use FSR, I can get over 60 fps on Doom The Dark Ages, 1080/handheld settings. It's a real beaut. The larger battery and faster RAM really make a difference as well. The Xbox full screen experience has a ways to go before it's perfect, or if you prefer, you could always install Bazzite and have a super Steam Deck

The product is great, when I first got the Xbox rog ally x both games and system are great. Playing pc games on the go is a benefit when you don’t have time at home, but entering my 3rd week with the device I have notice a few bugs that’s been bugging me. Sometimes the Xbox controller wouldn’t connect properly, the Xbox UI is a bit choppy, and the touch screen turns is self off and is unresponsive having me to do a shut down or restart. Honestly might return before my return windows closes

The Perfect direction for XBOX to be headed, especially since they are marrying the epic game store and steam into their UI (which you can change to default to armory crate if you don't like the Xbox ui). I haven't put this handheld down since i got it and it's completely replaced my steam deck. The only downsides i have so far is that i cant add the amazon game store to the Xbox UI, however you can add it to armory crate. And I really wish there put a bigger default drive in.

Just know what you are getting into. This is NOT a portable XBOX, but a portable Gaming PC. The pluses, way more powerful than STEAM Deck, XBOX Full Screen Experience, although in its nascent state is a winner, the speakers are great, and the the ASUS Armoury Crate is a very mature and stable software suite. The negatives, the screen should have been better. It's expensive for what it is. However, all the gaming PC handhelds are the collection of compromises and none are perfect. Overall, the ROG XboX Ally X is the easiest compromise to live with.

There isn't a single game I've played on this device it can't handle. Such a pleasure to play on the couch and enjoy a well designed and comfortable machine to hold and play

Just an amazing system, love being able to play on the go. Battery life and everything else is amazing. Highly recommend

Right out of the box, if I start playing a game with default Armoury Crate/AMD Adrenaline Functions, games in general can run pretty poorly, worse than a Steam Deck, which runs many things well out of the box. But, if you really take the time to optimize these settings, this blows every handheld out of the water. It really is great; you just need to put time into optimization, and then it is pretty hands-free after that.

UI COULD be way better an less laggy but it runs games AMAZING had little to no crashes or anything of the sort for 1000 it should be 98% flawless but id say its at about 70% right now Ik new updates are coming to improve the device Xbox UI is pretty garbage too and the fact you have to restart you device every time you go in to windows mode and wanna game is really annoying you don’t have to but for best performance you do and when your on this type of device you don’t want anything holding it back over all I live mine whould def recommend but needs some updateds AND DONT BUY THIS IF YOUR NOT A PC WINDOWS GAMER IT IS NOT A XBOX HANDHELD IT IS A PC HANDHELD
