Very comfortable and responsive with great battery life and the windows full screen experience is a welcome plus.

Perfect for traveling or when I’m being lazy and do not want to go upstairs to game. I also got the dock to hook it up to my tv and plug a controller in. 10/10 love this thing. Comfortable as can be because of the grips too.

That 80W battery plus the portability is amazing. You can literally play for hours. I highly recommend this.

Just wanted to make this review really quick, this is a really good product and I'd highly recommend it since it really plays games very well IF you install a Linux OS onto it. That being said, I would AVOID this if you want to play on Windows since Windows isn't made for a handheld in mind and you will generally get more performance out of a Linux OS like Bazzite or CachyOS since 10 FPS makes a giant difference on a device like this. Other than that I would recommend buying it new since "open box - excellent" had scratches on the screen and as a result I had to return the device. I'm buying it again now because there's going to be a price hike soon, and now would be the best time to buy unless the market crashes.

Understand what you're getting before you balk at the price. You don't NEED this but if you can get over the price, you'll absolutely love it when you get it. Plays everything out there. Is a desktop and gaming PC. Upscales with AI when docked. If you have an XBOX, you can take advantage of XBOX Anywhere. 900p to 1080p with docked upscaling to 1440p means you can actually clearly see everything. 1TB storage means you're carrying a few large titles to play any time or a ton of smaller games. If you're already on a Series S and want to get into PC gaming, the easiest way to do it.

The asus Roy ally xbox completely exceeded my expectations. The performance is outstanding — games run smoothly, and the screen looks amazing. Without a doubt, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful handheld gaming device. Totally worth it!

The ROG Ally X is an incredible gaming device. It's perfect when plugged in and just pretty good when it's not. But honestly, I haven't found many instances where a wall plug was totally out of the question. The only downside is that sometimes when you boot it, the keyboard freezes so you have to reboot. It's a minor issues that's usually resolved within one reboot. Highly recommend for enjoyers of heavy RPGs like Fallout.

Best gaming decision I’ve made. The Xbox ROG runs anything anything I throw at it and the battery lasts for 3-4 full hours of continuous gameplay.

Performance… It runs games very well, just might have to tweak settings to lower quality to get 60fps on some AAA games. Ergonomics… are top-tier, very cozy to hold. The only problem is the handles make this device much less portable. It’ll fit fine if you don’t mind a bulky backpack when traveling… but if it’s going to be used primarily around the house then an 8” screen would be better for immersion. Build quality… is decent. My right handle near the trigger area feels loose and I will probably have to return mine. For this price, I can’t accept even the smallest flaw. Price… it’s too expensive for what it is. For what it is, it should be $699. These handhelds are just too expensive for what they are. Conclusion… it’s a great device, but I personally have a hard time justifying the $1k price tag. It’s nice to be able to game on the couch laying down, but I’d still prefer top-tier graphics and performance on a more immersive TV or monitor. If you can honestly afford the $1k and will use this as your main daily driver, then it’s worth it.

great item, sound is spectacular. able to run most games well. I went with legion go instead for removable controllers and higher refresh/resolution.

I love my ROG ALLY X!!!! But i feel like its slower than it should be. Whenever turning it on snd booting it up it takes a long time, whenever im switching apps its takes a hot minute for them too load. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt and just telling myself “well its basically a mini computer its gonna take some time for it to callibrate everything and get situated” but its been two weeks now and its still pretty slow. But regardless of all that it’s amazing! Everything runs smooth and feels very fluid!

Have enjoyed it so far!! I played Supermarket Simulator for hours on my new Xbox Rog. It was smooth. The controls were quick. The graphics looked great! The battery life was long. Best handheld device I've ever owned!

This is a great handheld system. A big improvement over the original Ally. It is a small improvement in performance over the Ally X. A massive improvement in comfort over all handhelds. The only downside is the buttons are very clicky if you like to play at night time. I would recommend it.

This handheld is just okay. Design & Ergonomics: Comfortable to hold, and Windows FSE integration is a nice touch. Display: The 7" FHD screen is the biggest letdown. At a $1000 price point, I expected OLED or at least a larger panel (8–9"). Asus hasn’t meaningfully improved the screens on their handhelds in years, and it shows. Performance: Strong overall — the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme and 24GB RAM deliver smooth gameplay, and performance on battery was surprisingly good. Battery Life: Solid, with good endurance even under load. Bottom line: while the ergonomics and performance are respectable, the tiny, outdated screen drags down the experience. For the cost, it feels underwhelming. Ironically, I would recommend the LEGOZ2E, which is MORE expensive...

A great handheld with great graphics and very convenient being able to play anywhere

It's more than just and Xbox, and thats a good thing. I enjoy the Xbox App. There are a lot of advanced features I think people are missing out on. If you have an Xbox console at home, this is like having Xbox PC portable and Xbox Console portable all in one. You can install PC games locally, and run Cloud based games and apps through the Xbox App UI. You can also launch games in their native apps like Steam, GOG, EPIC, etc. The sleeper feature of the Xbox App across all devices, even the Quest, I think people miss out on is Xbox remote play. I can play my Xbox Console remotely, anywhere, from the handheld as if I'm sitting on the couch.

This item is great and i enjoy it more and more. I love the option to use as pc as well to be able to stream when i am away from home. I have alot to learn but will continue too.
