Power system, plays games great. The screen pops, the controls are tight and responsive without too much fan noise The only drawback is the windows OS platform. But if you own a Steam Deck already, I can't recommend this until they deal with the OS.

Good. Nice to use. Gotta do a lot of downloads before it runs smoothly, but seems to be that way with a lot of electronics, especially expensive ones. Since this is a handheld computer, there are applications that aren't needed. A little hard to navigate sometimes. Some games have yet to be programmed to be on the handheld that render some gaming features unavailable, like the gaming AI system. However, they do tell you that before downloading, so that's nice. Overall, very nice device to play games on anywhere.

The device itself is a solid product, the fact that Microsoft and ASUS are putting effort into this is the entire reason why I went with this over the Legion Go 2. Sure, Windows still has a way to go, the screen is smaller and coming from a Steam Deck OLED it is an adjustment. With the next generation I hope that ASUS puts in an OLED along with making the screen at least 7.5 inches as that looks like the sweet spot. Upgradability is also extremely nice in this. No need to get the smaller M.2 as you can put in a regular M.2. Mine has been upgraded to 4TB, with a 2TB SD card so I have storage of 6 TBs on me at all times which is amazing. Mine is also dual boot with Bazzite, so I get the best of both worlds. I sold my Steam Deck OLED for this and made some compromises but overall a fantastic product that I hope gets better with the next generation.

I've had my Xbox Ally X since mid January 26'. It is extremely versatile. I like the Xbox mode a lot, but I also really like the ability to go into Windows(11) Mode. This allows me to use it for other PC type functions. I take this device with me on trips, like my daughter's Volleyball tournaments where there is a lot of downtime between games. At home I use it docked to a nice Asus monitor. The build quality is top notch. I mainly use it to play games...even AAA games...like ARC Raiders, of which it runs flawlessly. I can even play AAA games in ha shield mode via wifi or using my phone as a hotspot. I highly recommend it.

The ROG Xbox Ally X is not what the reviews say. Heavy to who overtime, those that don't do nothing but cry about anything. Lacking battery where's, when most devices, dont even hold up. No Heavy workloads, you kidding me, adobe creative cloud, printing, dual screen handling my IT work with heavy hitting tools like Beyond Trust, and many more resources hungry Apps on the Rog. Oh Fl Studios isnt light, oh and still playing whatever game on the second screen.

I love the steam deck, this is just a more powerful model. It really is a computer in my hands. I have access to Xbox, steam, and others. It’s pricy but I do love the quality of the build.

I’ve been really enjoying my time with the ROG Ally X — it’s easily the most powerful handheld I’ve ever used. You can play it anywhere, and it feels great and balanced in your hands, even during long gaming sessions. The screen resolution and color are incredible — everything looks crisp, vibrant, and alive. But what really sets the Ally X apart is that it’s a true Windows device, which makes it more than just a gaming console — it’s like having a mini PC with console vibes. Whether you’re gaming on the couch, traveling, or plugging it into a monitor for a full desktop setup, this device delivers. ASUS really nailed the mix between power, portability, and flexibility.

Great handheld device, runs great games like battlefield 6 and other high power end games or new generation game, as long as the power cord is plug, the control is smooth and amazing similar to a xbox, the power under the hood is also great, the only downside of this product is the price, and sometimes the interface between windows, xbox and steam gets cluncky, but overall great product, if you are a gamer on the go, or people at your house use your tv, buy it.

Since this was a gift for my husband, I do not know much about the product. However, the product does work and my husband loves it. There are no complaints thus far. The customer service was amazing. I ended up purchasing the dock and adapter and got a good deal since I didn't know there was a promotion going on. They went back and gave me the promotion and were very detailed about wach step. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience purchasing the items and my husband thoroughly enjoys using the items. Thanks Best Buy!

My partner wanted this system after we bought one for his mother, when he previously bought himself the Lenovo Legion Go. He had done research comparing them and reviews kept saying the Lenovo would be better overall. We after testing out his mother's Rog he said no, the Lenovo is not better!! The rog had a much better lay out for the systems like buttons/shop. Games play a lot better, and it just has better features in general. If you're worried about battery life just charge it often or get a battery pack.

So far so good. I was going back and forth between this and the LG2, and the reason i choose this one was because the ssd is easier to upgrade, unlike the LG2, which you have to remove the system fan to get access to the ssd. Plus the ally is much lighter and comfortable to hold while playing a game. Plus I'd rather take the $1400 and spend it on a mid to top tier gaming laptop that would out perform the LG2 and be better in the upgradeable category. I love the ROG xbox ally x, especially since I upgraded the ssd to 8tb.

I love this handheld , by far the best one out there even at the price range . I started gaming “PC “ with my steam deck OLED and loved it , great introduction to the PC world for beginners but with my Rog Xbox ally x I can do more things, my games run smoother, I don’t have to fix things unless I want o Dave Battery etc I would change a few thing s but aside from That I love this thing, I cant stop gaming on it . Even though the battery is bigger it doesn’t not feel heavy at all. The screen is NOT an issue if you are going to compare the screens to a OLED steam deck. Wehrrr this is beta for Xbox or not it’s a great way to get into gaming and or Xbox gaming

Honestly, for what you can do with this thing and the performance you get out of it, it is worth the price. This is actually my first experience with PC gaming (console gamer) and it has been a wonderful transition to play some of my existing games on my Xbox account/game pass plus have the option to play games on Steam, Epic, etc. The versaility is unmatched. Handheld or connected to a monitor, it runs extremely well. Probably the best gaming purchase I’ve ever made.

One of the best hand held pc game device to date. 1 tb not enough for me. Easy 8TB upgrade not like the other hand held for sure. Playing your huge games library never been so fun.

Can be used as a console plugged in to the tv via a usb-c to HDMI cord, paired with 2 controllers, allowing you to play modded games on your tv with a console experience. Then you can take it on the go. Its also powerful, with it being more powerful than 70% of current gaming pcs. Literally an all-in one.

So far, I'm pretty happy with this. I have arthritis in my hands, and I've found it really comfortable to hold for long periods. I spend all day on a computer at work, so it's nice to be able to switch to a handheld instead of another PC to play all the PC games I've collected. I've synced up and downloaded from Steam, Epic Games, GOG, and others with no issues. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I'm not able to play all of my Xbox games on this. I thought that would be possible, and was one of the things I was really looking forward to, but it's only PC compatible games which does not include very many of the Xbox games I already own. This would be perfect if it could also do remote play like the PS Portal, so I had access to all my Xbox and PC games in one handheld. I

A have a bunch of handheld gaming devices and this is easily the best. It loads up quick, plays everything I want it to, and is incredibly comfortable in the hands.

Overall I think it's a very good product, no major issues with it. I think mine may have been defective but I'm not holding that against it. As long as you know what you're getting then you should be set. The only issue really is the price, jumping from the ROG ally X to this the only real change is the comfort of the grips, and the Z2 extreme chip but I don't think that's a huge bump in performance.

It’s not much of a power difference between previous generation like Rog Ally X or steam deck. But the ergonomics and battery life are a game changer. Running this thing at 20 watts is a great balance of power and battery. I can game in some triple AAA games for 3 hours without charge. The feel of this thing alone makes a big difference. My previous handhelds felt heavy and bulky. After a couple hours it would strain my hands and I could feel my shoulders slightly ache. But with this thing I feel like I’m just holding a Xbox controller. Or at least close enough. I know that sounds like not enough for the extra money. But for me it was. Especially open box. I got a deal. May the Schwartz be with you.

Great battery life on this. Also the quality of game is amazing. Fits well in my hands and is fairly light for the gaming power it has. 10/10 would buy again.
