Honest Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this device is really solid. IMO it has the best ergonomics in the handheld pc space currently. Software support is very strong, and performance is extremely solid. It gets criticized for the screen size, but i found myself immersed in late night gaming sessions in bed. The face buttons are a little loud, but i think you play a lot of offline games and want to maximize playing on the go, this is probably your best option. The 17-20 watt range is truly the sweet spot for Z2E chip on this device.

ROG Xbox Ally X – The Ultimate Xbox Handheld
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded from the previous Ally X to the new ROG Xbox Ally X. While the previous model was already a top-tier handheld, this new collaboration between ASUS and Microsoft feels like the "final form" of the device. The New Ergonomics: A Genuine Improvement The biggest physical change is the contoured grips. Even coming from the Ally X (which improved on the original Ally), the Xbox edition feels more like holding a premium Xbox Wireless Controller. The Feel: It’s more rounded and fits the palms better. The Triggers: The addition of impulse triggers makes a huge difference in games like Forza or Halo—it’s something I didn't realize I was missing until I had it. Performance: Subtle but Noticeable I wasn't expecting a massive leap in performance since the previous Ally X was already great, but the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme does show its strength in certain areas: Framerate Stability: In demanding AAA titles, I've noticed some games running at a noticeably higher FPS. Final Verdict If you just want the best ergonomics and the most seamless Xbox experience on the go, this is it. I upgraded mainly for the grips and the console-like feel, and while the performance boost isn't a "generational" jump, the overall package is the most polished handheld I've ever used.

Pretty cool, but still prefer Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find this review a little difficult to write, as I have not spent much time with my new ROG Xbox Ally X, as I’ve reached an age where I just buy things and rarely have time to play them, lo siento Señor Buy. But overall, the unit feels real nice the in the hands, and I have had the opportunity to play a few things. I would have to say it is the most comfortable handheld on the market, but the screen leaves a little to be desired, not going to knock it down past 4 stars though. Ultimately, if you are looking for a Quality Windows handheld, this or the new and more expensive Legion Go 2 are your Huckleberry. If you are looking for something more pick up and play, grab a Nintendo Switch 2, that one really takes it up to 11!

Powerful Gaming Handheld device.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ROG Xbox Ally X 7" is awesome handled platform that has great graphics and power under the hood to play all my games. I really like how I can play both Xbox Titles and Steam games on this handheld. Also it comes packed with utilities like the Armoury Crate that makes tweaking performance and Controller options very easy to do. I don't think you can go wrong with this handheld.

Great console
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using it for about a week and I’ve enjoyed using it on the go. There was a slight problem at first and I had to get a new one however when I went to get it fixed the employees were very helpful and I ended up getting it exchanged for a new one. Th console is lighter than you’d expect and it can pretty much do whatever you want whether it’s modding games, emulators, or just playing your whole steam library. With the right specs aswell u could get it to last 12 hrs on not triple A games

Review of ROG ALLY X7 handheld
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS ROG Ally X is easily one of the best handheld gaming PCs right now. The performance is impressive, the 120Hz display looks amazing, and the battery life is a huge improvement over the original Ally. It runs AAA games surprisingly well for a handheld, and the ergonomics make long gaming sessions comfortable. Windows can still feel a little clunky on a handheld device, but overall the Ally X delivers a premium gaming experience that’s hard to beat. Great choice for gamers who want PC gaming anywhere. So far I am enjoying it

It’s fun and easy to use . I connected my Xbox to it and you have enough storage . It’s not too big not too small. I hate seeing from a far so the steam deck while gaming is the best thing ever. Worth the money, but expect to subscribe to game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it so far, only issue I have had is that most of my xbox games do not actually transfer over so you will have to buy some games again or subscribe to xbox game pass. Not a fan of that but that has nothing to do with the performances of the Xbox Rog. If you play steam games this thing is AMAZING. I played Cyberpunk and had zero issues graphics were incredible and i also played Harry Potter. Both games ran smooth with zero lag. Does take a while to boot games up, but once up they run perfectly.

Is the 1000$ worth it ?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My honest review about the ROG XBOX ALLY X First you cannot play all your Xbox owned games on it only certain I think honestly it’s like having a laptop but without the keyboard. The OS is not as sleek as steam and sometimes kinda quirky. The pros on the other hand it performs great you’d have to look up benchmarks the screen is so nice the handles actually feel better than the regular ROG. I mainly game on my pc but sometimes I like to just lay down and play MOST of my steam games and some Xbox game pass games it does die quick tho in my opinion but when you have a power house like this machine what do you except but 1000 is very steep too cuz than your thinking why not buy GPU but like I said sometimes I just like to sit down and play it.

An XBOX to go?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not an XBOX, but it's close. The feel of the controller in your hands, the triggers, the buttons, the d-pad, and especially the thumbsticks... are definitely a step above. The thumbsticks glide effortlessly with precision, they feel extremely smooth. The performance of this handheld is far and away better than anything you can get from the Steam Deck. This is the only Ryzen Extreme powered handheld that comes with it's own AI NPU which has yet to showcase itself in day-to-day gaming operations but you can believe that it's going to play a big part in handling AUTO SR when that comes next month so your games can look better and run better while doing it. If you're on the fence about picking this up, all I can say to you is this is the best price to performance Z2 Extreme handheld and it feels amazing in your hands while doing it. I am very happy with this purchase.

Misleading name, decent handheld PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VERY misleading. It's a windows pc handheld, NOT XBOX. They advertise "play all your games" but this is not true, the smaller print then goes into the different pc game storefronts. It should have been marketed/named "ROG Windows Gaming Ally X". For the cost, they should have included the case. Very disappointed I had to purchase a separate case for it. It has an included "stand". Flimsy cardboard that will easily be broken/crushed. You couldn't spend a little bit more for a plastic stand ASUS, or even a dock stand? Haven't played much on it, but overall performance seems good. Very confusing interface for a first time handheld PC user.

Beast Mode
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re an on the go gamer and love the thought of a hybrid Xbox/pc that can run things amazingly well, this is a must buy. Takes some getting used to software wise, but this thing is a beast. While we haven’t hit 4k levels just yet, I can’t speak highly enough of the ROG Xbox Ally X
