From the moment I picked it up, I knew this wasn’t just another handheld. The ROG Ally Xbox feels like it was sculpted for comfort, smooth contours, perfect weight, and a grip that makes long sessions feel effortless. Performance? Blazing. Whether you're grinding through campaigns or hopping into quick matches, this device keeps up without breaking a sweat.

Great handheld pc. I've been playing many new games with little to no issues. The Outer Worlds 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, Oblivion Remaster, etc. My only complaints is the new windows handheld mode is kinda glitchy (but I'm certain it will be cleaned up) and the buttons are a little clicky which is somewhat annoying. No regrets buying it.

I have really enjoyed this device. The Xbox app is not perfect but overall I have had a great experience with it. The built in button for Xbox feature is very convenient. It keeps pc games from steam and other apps right in my Xbox app library and I don’t have to interface with windows at all unless I want to. It is being updated a lot and has improved already. The only downside is the screen size. it is fine and I don’t notice much while gaming but I would have preferred it to be bigger. I have played primarily expedition 33, Forza horizon 5 and God of War and they run well.

I love this thing. The performance is great & I love the feel of it. The feel is really what sells it for me. I also love having all my games from various launchers tied together and launchable through the Xbox experience. I've had and loved my Steam Deck for a few years but there are certain games it can't play. Those games happen to be most of the most popular online games in the world. It's great being able to play anything. No regrets

There is not a bad review, but it’s also not a good review. This thing is the definition of middle of the road.. it definitely has lots of problems that need to be worked out and runs terribly if you don’t have added memory or a dock that has 3.2 SSD’s in it. I want to love this thing, but the steam deck is more intuitive by far and I hate Lennox. The steam deck just runs PC games portably perfect perfectly. This thing has issues when you try to use a controller and steam or out of steam. It doesn’t matter it just does what it wants. It won’t recognize controllers that are hardwired to it, it overheats Windows 11 is massive and takes up so much space you have to get more memory. For the price these guys could do better. It should come with 2 TB internal for the price. Better cooling as well. I shouldn’t be seeing that. My console is running hot all the time. I had to buy a $200 dock that could handle push pushing this thing and cooling it off as well as extra memory built into the m.2 to enclosure in the bottom. It just doesn’t feel like it runs smoothly. It’s always struggling. It was older games you can mess with the settings in steam normally. but not with these things. There’s too many places where things are set up and it’s not an easy smooth ride. Everything about this thing is rough. I just wanted to get some updates and run away that it should. For $1000 it should struggle to play PlayStation three ports

I really like this handheld. I love being able to pick up where i left off on my console and continue achievement hunting. Some things can be hard to see on the smaller screen but i think a bigger screen would be too bulky. I wish it was a bit cheaper but i do enjoy being able to game away from home.

I owned the MSI CLAW 8 AI+ prior to this device and I ended up returning it because the ergonomics weren't the best. I have read and watched all the reviews for this device and have to say that the concerns about the screen size are overblown. I am able to have a better immersive experience with the XAX compared to the Claw because the ergonomics are miles better.

Great! I can run all the games! Battery is great and surprised me with some games.

The console seems super, good controls and easy to use, very comfortable, wide variety of games.

I’ve had the original Ally since launch, but the Ally X is a massive step up. The biggest win here is the battery. On the original, I was lucky to get an hour and a half on AAA games; with the 80Wh battery in the X, I’m easily getting 3+ hours. The extra RAM (24GB) also makes a noticeable difference in how smooth games like Cyberpunk and Call of Duty run.

If you’re after a premium handheld gaming experience that actually lives up to the hype, the ROG Xbox Ally X is a standout choice. This device isn’t just another portable gaming PC, it blends serious performance, excellent ergonomics, and a console-friendly interface into one impressive package.

This device is something I've wanted since the early 2000s that will allow me to play my PC and console games on one device. And since I've always been a Xbox guy I'm so glad that they teamed up with ASUS to create this device. It's easily the most powerful handheld I've played and I had the original ROG Ally X and the first gen Steam Deck, which I still have and love. But the Xbox Ally X can play it all since it's Windows.

Overall excellent handheld. Runs pretty much anything you throw at it. Plus the price to performance vs any other handheld currently on the market makes this an easy top choice if you are in the market for a new pc gaming handheld. The only downside is that they should have went up on the screen sizes vs previous models.

So I’m a semi big gamer, heard a lot of mixed reviews but to be honest I think this thing is the greatest ever discovered! Gaming on the cord gives alooootttt better performance and gameplay, zero lag! On battery it kind of lags but not bad enough to hate it. I’ve played hours of Fortnit, Minecraft and COD and it has played as smooth as the console, so I’d say, if you really want a more versatile game product, then this is what you need to get, so far it was well worth the money! I love it!

I have a Steam deck oled, i had the original ROG ally, The ROG Ally X, and now this, waiting for my Legion Go 2. But this device by far is the most comfortable to hold on, and most easy to use handheld till date. If i had to nitpick, i could say the screen angle and quality is sub par ( Screen is the same for 3 years in a row). Best quality on this device is, the speakers. By far best sounding speakers on a handheld.

This little machine is very powerful for its size. The ergonomics are top notch and very comfortable to hold compared to my other handhelds. I didnt use the factory Windows 11 OS. I Installed Steam OS 3.9 and it has been the best pc ive ever owned. Thats coming from someone with a 9800x3d and a 9070xt rig. I use sunshine and moonlight to stream games from my desktop to the RXAX. 12/10 will be purchasing another for my wife soon.

I love this device. you have to have the appropriate expectations heading into it; but, if you do, you'll have a great time. all triple A games that I have tried so far play at 30-60 fps with the right settings. and on the 7 inch screen, you can't really tell huge differences with lower settings. and I have always preferred handheld gaming, so this has definitely been worth my money. but it's also not for everyone.

The handheld is really good. I'm able to play high-end games much better than anticipated. I wish the screen were flatter and not at an angle. There's something to be said for the simplicity of Steam OS. The UI on the Ally X isn't user-friendly at all. They also didn't do anything to optimize or customize the version of Windows on here.

This handheld gives you the best of both worlds. With console and PC gaming similarities. I would recommend this great product to anyone looking for a good portable handheld for gaming, entertainment and other PC functions.
