    Not as simple as I wanted a portable xbox system to be. If you don't have computer skills this gaming system will present challenges for you to use. I would recommend only to very tech savvy gamers.

    it was an early Christmas present for my girlfriend and she love this, She uses it a lot and it isn’t too heavy for her to hold up for hours at a time.

    Expensive, but the value is in your hands. This device is powerful, responsive, and surprisingly comfortable to hold for 2+ hours at a time.

    I returned this and bought a Lenovo Legion Go S SteamOS edition with the Z1E chip. The sleep mode did not work well, the screen is too small, Xbox big picture mode is full of bugs, and I am not paying this much money to be a beta tester for Microsoft. Performance was decent, but I am almost matching the FPS with a Z1E in SteamOS. I will say the battery life was great on this.

    Software is great.. hardware is not

    I love everything about the software however the hardware is just horrendous. Everything about my Rog Xbox has had an issue. To my thumbsticks scratching when i move them to the triggers getting stuck when i press them not to mention the buttons getting stuck at some points. I love Xbox and I love ROG and this truly has potential but the actual hardware in the controler has got to be resolved.

    Asus needs to work on their communication

    This pc handheld is very fun to play, the design is very nice and it feels good on the hands but this device has many problems with the software. Ive only had this device a few days and i already had to uninstall and reinstall Black Ops 7 completely because i could not download an in game update. And many times i had to restart the device for various reasons and there are too many reasons to name just one, but none of the above is a deal breaker. The deal breaker is my mic does not work in game, I configured the sound settings in the windows settings (Output and Input), the device settings and the in game settings and I even tested to see if the mic is working via the settings and it does, however, in the actual game itself, no one can hear me and the in game sound icon doesn’t even move when I speak. I’ve tried this on different games, i tried using the pc handheld without no headset, I tried using a different headset, I tried connecting the headset via Bluetooth, I tried connecting via a dongle and I tried connecting via the 3.5mm jack and nothing works. And I’ve watched many YouTube videos and I’ve never once seen anyone communicating online in game with this device so I’m starting to believe it is incapable of online in game communication. If that is the case then Asus needs to notify customers that this device is not capable of communicating online within games like an Xbox because we pay for the Xbox Game Pass subscription like any other Xbox user.

To resolve the microphone problem, ensure drivers(chipset, Dolby Atmos, ASUS System Control Interface v3, audio) and the most current BIOS version were installed. Updates for this device are posted at:  https://rog.asus.com/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-xbox-ally-x-2025/helpdesk_download/ . Additionally, ensure you configure your headset inside the most current Armoury Crate utility software posted at: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/ and Windows is up to date.

    I love the ergonomics of this, Ive had no issues with the new full screen experience. I di wish it was an 8 in screen. Also thunk they should've kept the menu buttons in the same spot from the og ally.

    In my personal opinion, it still has a couple of things to improve. It froze three times, and once it just locked up for a few seconds before I could continue using it. We also have to wait for them to make all the games "play anywhere", but without a doubt, this is the future; they're heading in the right direction.

    The Xbox ally x is really cool and i can play both xbox and pc games but the one thing that disappointed me was that i cant play my full xbox library

    So much power in a handheld. Can run AAA games at 60+ FPS and honestly the ergonomics alone beats every other pc handheld out there on the market

    I never really play on handhelds, but this one is very user friendly. I really like how easy it is to switch between xbox cloud gaming and Steam games.
