Great movie and excellent back story to the Star Wars universe. The 4K version of this film is nothing short of amazing. I upgraded from the Blu Ray and it was worth it! Sure, casuals may not notice a difference. But I felt that every scene was crisp, detailed, and brought a wide sound spectrum. In short, it's never looked better. Great addition to the collection!

I would say this is better than any of the new trilogy movies. This is a great watch even though you know the ending. Also Darth Vader is awesome at the end!

This 'spinoff' delivers some needed gravity to the Star Wars canon with a quality script, good characters, and resistance to inserting any Ewok like 'cuteness'.

A fun and exciting film for the family as it brings to life more of the Star Wars universe. Great to fill in more of the story before the beloved original trilogy!

This was one of the best Star Wars movies I have ever seen!! It was an amazing add-on to the franchise and it ties in very well to the saga. I have to say I've always been a fan of the time between Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope, and thought that they didn't express enough of the stories behind the individual events and people in the galaxy then. I have also always wanted to see more of the planets and characters in the Star Wars universe that haven't been recognized well enough. If you want to see something different like that, then this is definitely the Star Wars movie to watch!! One of the only things I didn't like about the movie was the reality and politics of the rebellion. I've always kind of seen the rebellion as a nice, willing, understanding, and easy-going group that would do almost anything to help anybody in need. You do see that in this movie with some individual characters, but you also see a more stubborn and realistic side in the some of the people, the story, and some of the characteristics of the rebellion that some Star Wars fans may not like. But all in all, the plot line of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story kept me interested for the most part!! I give this movie a big thumbs up!!

Star Wars could not have started their one shot films off any better...grit, heroes we can love and the story behind the original crawl...what more can you ask?

The spirit of the original Star Wars saga is alive and well in this chapter that takes us to literally moments before A NEW HOPE. Enjoyed more than LAST JEDI.

It seems like anything to do with the large franchises is always controversial, so suffice it to say that I am a fan of the Star Wars series (yes, the whole thing), and I enjoyed this film. The story is not perfect, and does make for some interesting continuity blips, or character weirdness, if you dig too deeply. And the story timeline is a bit wonky, but this is not so much a review of the film. Does it make my ordering of films in my blu-ray library just a bit more difficult? Absolutely! The primary function of this review, however, is to tell you that the Steelbook edition of this film is a spectacular way to buy this title! The blu-ray has been masterfully made, and the 3D, for those die-hards (like me) who still really want it, is excellent. The color, depth, and balanced use of in-screen, and out-of-screen effects make for a stunning presentation. The soundtrack is perhaps one of the less impressive in the Star Wars family of presentations, but that is not much different than being last in your class from medical school - still a doctor, or in this case, still a decent Williams score. The actual steelbook itself is beautiful, though somewhat stylized to look much more like an older colorized poster. Doesn't bother me much, but I had a few family members who preferred the more photo-style image on the standard packaging. Overall, I would buy it again, and again, and recommend it each time. For a collector and Star Wars fan, the steelbook is solidly built, and the blu-ray is fantastic. For the avid home theatre nut, and 3D fan, this will not disappoint. Solid release.

My wife and I are Star Wars fans. We enjoy seeing the movies at the theater. We always add the movies to our collection when they become available on DVD.

This is the Best one, too bad it is only a side story of the entire saga. This is waaaay better than the crappy Solo Movie. I recommend it. Good Stuff!

Excellent movie to add to the collection. It also answers a few questions about Star Wars saga that you may not considered . Great special effects.

Rogue One was a great movie, I wasn't expecting much after Force Awakens but Rogue One kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

Such an original take for a Star Wars movie. It was nice to see some familiar characters being used in new scenes. Highly recommend this title.

Coming between the end of Revenge of the Sith, Rogue One tells the story of how the Rebel Alliance acquired the plans to the Death Star. The story is well told. I think the choice not to use John Williams music was a mistake, especially because Michael Giacchino's work sounds so derivative of Williams.
