Rogue One released in 3 high def formats. You have the Blu-ray release with DVD and digital copy, the 3D version with blu-ray and digital copy, and the digital hd release. For my money, the original Blu-ray release is the way to go. It comes with the digital HD copy (which is at least $15 on its own) and the picture is as good as you will get until the inevitable 4K copy with hdr comes out. The digital copy works with Disney's "Movies Anywhere" which can then be synced to google, Amazon, Vudu, and Apple for play on mobile phones, tablets, and set boxes like the Apple TV. If I had one complaint with the blu-ray, the audio mix is okay, but vocals can seem a bit weak at times.

This movie just pops on 4k, it is the best the movie has ever looked. On the extras side it is the same as the previous blu ray release with nothing new.

See this is how you do it man. this is how you do it. beautifully done......felt so nice and complete. Didn't give that empty feeling like most movies that are made in series. The story built up to a climax just right. Felt like an actual climax instead of just some lame little fight scene like in force awakens. They really did a great job on this. Ending was just perfect haha just perfect. Easily one of my favorite star wars movies since the original ones. Oh and the cover is so nice. so nice and shiny haha very cool. I would recommend getting this packaging before they take the packaging out and just start selling the regular bluray packaging without the cover slip.

You will absolutely love the quality in acting and blend of action and character development that Director Gareth Edwards takes 'Rogue One' in. This is the embodiment of what STAR WARS is all about. I grew up as a little boy fascinated by the storyline. Unfortunately, after Return of the Jedi, the STAR WARS franchise has given us 4 badly directed movies with no story creativity and robotic dialogue between characters. Rouge One finally breaks that mold as you are entranced by the specificity of each character yet they all mold into a creative storyline that leaves you rooting badly for the outmanned rebels. You will love it. And may the FORCE... be with you... Always... :)

I have to admit, I had my doubts about this movie. The numerous re-shoots weren't a good sign and I doubted their ability to capture the feeling of Episode IV. Well, I was completely wrong. This movie feels like it takes place in the same universe as Episode IV, just from a different viewpoint. The cast does a phenomenal job of portraying their characters, the audio and video quality are top notch, and the steelbook package is great and (I think) the best version to get. There are a couple of times where the plot feels like it was intentionally slowed down (there's a lot to take in with this movie) and some elements don't mesh well. That's probably due to the multiple re-shoots but it's ok, the end result is a film worthy of baring the Star Wars name. I didn't have issues with the CGI characters. They definitely stood out but were well-done. Rogue One has the best Darth Vader scene of any Star Wars movie and expands on his mythos a bit more. We finally get to see how the plans for the Death Star were stolen. There are tons of special features, enough to keep fans entertained for hours on end. The 3D version is ok but you're fine sticking with the 2D version for normal watching. I highly recommend this for any Star Wars fan, it is truly a must have title in a stellar presentation and package.

This movie has an underrated soundtrack which shines in this release. Sounds great and looks up to spec for 4K. Ideal release of this film to own.

A really cool side story/prequel to episode 4. Would be great as a stand alone film but makes a greatvstar wars film. 4k looks great!

This will be one of the best spinoffs in the Star Wars universe. Great story, and fantastic characters. Kudos to the writers!

Answers some questions between the prequels and original trilogy. If looking for Jedi or Sith not the right movie foe you.

If you are a fan of the Star Wars franchise then I am sure you will enjoy this movie and I would bet you've already seen it. On the other hand, if you are new to the world of Star Wars, this film is a good one to watch that doesn't require much prior knowledge. In fact, the writers do a good job of creating a movie that isn't hindered by the previous stories and audience members can follow along without feeling lost. The other good aspect for new Star Wars fans is that this is pretty much a one-and-done story. As for the Steelbook option, I would recommend getting this set if you are collector of the Steelbook films but otherwise it doesn't really provide much else.

This was really good and stayed with the nature and vision of the original films. Could have done with this and none of the prequels.

This may be the best Star Wars movie and certainly is one of my personal favorite movies of all time. Loved that it finally came out on 4k. Love it.

Finally available in 4k. I enjoyed this in theatres and on Bluray. making my way through the 4k box set and needed this to complete the collection.

Probably the best 4k transfer out of all the SW films. Details are sharp, sound is amazing, price point was too hard to pass up.

Best of all the Disney era Star Wars movies. Looks and sound great on 4K.

Love it! Donnie Yen is a great addition the Star Wars Universe! What a moving story. Afterwards I wanted to rewatch the entire saga

Incredible movie that expands the Star Wars universe with both new and old characters. No spoiler alert here but this movie is running in the parallel timeline as Star Wars (New Hope) from 1977. Look closely for a speaking cameo from our favorite robots. If you blink, you will miss them. The finale is spectacular yet for another beloved character who connects past and present so to speak. The battle scenes are epic as only Lucas Films can manifest. This physical package is beneficial for its Blue-ray, DVD and Digital copies. Blue ray in the SUV, Digital copy gets registered to Vudu for the family room big screen access, and the DVD is regulated to the teen cave.

The best Disney Star Wars movie. The quality of the 4k blu ray is great. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Been waiting for this movie to release in 4K. Too bad it wasn't included in the Skywalker Saga set though, so had to purchase it separately.
