And here it is, the release of the first "Star Wars Anthology" films on Blu-ray. Looks great and has some interesting interviews about the making of the film. As a Star Wars, Action, or Sci-Fi fan you'll likely find something enjoyable in its viewing. The first "side story" into this long running franchise certainly has all of that. As for the 'story' of this film, without giving anything away, I was half-expecting something unique like a "Mission Impossible" spy movie set within the Star Wars universe, which I would have dug - and apparently this very idea was pitched for Rogue One in the style of a Mini Series where they would have taken more time to flesh out characters. The finished product was alright as well, but not "great." Hence, why I'm giving this film 4 stars or a B+. The action was entertaining, but the story felt hob knobbled together from its reshoots and the characters just aren't that motivating to care a whole lot about compared to Episode IV, V, and VI.

Great movie and would recommend to anybody who likes star wars.

I really enjoyed rogue one when he came out and to the movie theaters. I was excited when I heard that they were actually going to release this on 3-D. I made the purchase the day it came out I'm very impressed with the 3-D as well as the battles in space. There are some scenes that are very subtle but for the most part the 3-D is pronounced throughout. I now understand that this disc has run its course and is unavailable at Best Buy stores. If you like the movie and have a 3-D TV you definitely want to pick this up on eBay.

great to see this in a more crisp 4K format. can definitely tell a difference from standard Blu-ray.

Honestly not my favorite Star Wars movie. Many people enjoy it but it’s a one off and a little stressful. It’s definitely a war story. I’m just not into that. Much prefer lightsabers and space battles as opposed to blaster battles on the beach. But it is an important story in the Star Wars universe.

This the story before Obi Wan was the only hope. The story before the story.

In my opinion this transfer is the best of all the series made. Plus the story line is good too.

This movie filled in the gaps from episode 3 and the New Hope it is one of the best Star Wars movies.

Rogue One wasn't our family's most anticipated film given we had no idea how Disney would spin off from the regular Star Wars series. With new characters, new planets, new story lines... this was a gamble. They hit the jackpot with this one. There is the perfect balance of Star Wars history expertly woven into the film with the new stories and characters to make a seamless transition to the original films. As an added bonus, the scene with Darth Vader certified why he was so feared in the original films. Simply amazing.

A really outstanding movie in this great series. The story leads directly into Star Wars A New Hope.

Not a huge Star ware fan but loved this movie. In 4K made it even better and a blast to watch.

It is always tough when a franchise changes leadership. In attempting to capture the essence of the original there is a risk of being either to slavish, or of innovating too much and in either case missing the point completely. Thankfully, Rogue One walks that razor's edge with skill and succeeds in engendering the spirit of the original Star Wars films. Somewhat darker than the original Trilogy, the story here is how the plans for the Death Star came into the hands of Princess Leia. Suffice to say, it was not easy, and much blood was spilt. Some may be disappointed, just as Episode VII The Force Awakens did not please everyone, however I believe most fans will enjoy this film. Cast and crew have done an admirable job of bringing Star Wars back to form. Video quality on this Blu-ray disc is excellent as is the audio. So crank up the volume on your surround sound system, pop some corn, and enjoy another adventure in that galaxy far, far away.
