Rogue One wasn't our family's most anticipated film given we had no idea how Disney would spin off from the regular Star Wars series. With new characters, new planets, new story lines... this was a gamble. They hit the jackpot with this one. There is the perfect balance of Star Wars history expertly woven into the film with the new stories and characters to make a seamless transition to the original films. As an added bonus, the scene with Darth Vader certified why he was so feared in the original films. Simply amazing.

It is always tough when a franchise changes leadership. In attempting to capture the essence of the original there is a risk of being either to slavish, or of innovating too much and in either case missing the point completely. Thankfully, Rogue One walks that razor's edge with skill and succeeds in engendering the spirit of the original Star Wars films. Somewhat darker than the original Trilogy, the story here is how the plans for the Death Star came into the hands of Princess Leia. Suffice to say, it was not easy, and much blood was spilt. Some may be disappointed, just as Episode VII The Force Awakens did not please everyone, however I believe most fans will enjoy this film. Cast and crew have done an admirable job of bringing Star Wars back to form. Video quality on this Blu-ray disc is excellent as is the audio. So crank up the volume on your surround sound system, pop some corn, and enjoy another adventure in that galaxy far, far away.

The movie is great and we knew were wanted to buy it before it was released. Great to add to your Star Wars Collection. The great thing about buying a movie is that you get all the extras that come with it that you don't get to see at the movie theater. Deleted scenes, bloopers, background information, and more. We bought the Steel Book for the best price and value because it came with BlueRay, 3-D, Standard, and Digital copies of the movie. That way everyone can enjoy the movie regardless of the player they have.

Rogue One looks amazing in 4K. It's nice to finally get to watch this in its Native 4K format.

Finally the best Star Wars film of the Disney age gets a 4K release and it looks magnificent.

Aaahhgg, Where to start! Well, needless to say, this is a start wars movie and it comes with all the visuals, sounds and environments we expect when we see another movie from this franchise. I was expecting a continuation of the previous movie but in reality what we have here is a revelation that gives us light to some events on the Original Star Wars movies. It gives a deeper meaning and adds value to them. AND on top of all that, add 3D effects and, to me, it becomes an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! Loved it!

This steel book is the best one I have, I have many steel books & so many have great art work. But this one is flawless, great detail, brilliant engraving, this extra disc is just heart pounding. This movie in 3D is the best 3D film, I have ever exspierenced in theaters & in my home. It is like being irrigation on star tours the trench run version of star tours that no longer is my favorite place in the whole world Disneyland. So get to Best Buy right now & buy this steel book, & may the force be with you always.

What can you say about Star Wars movies - any of them - they are all my favorite movies!!

I think that "Rogue One" was one of the greatest "Star Wars" films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite "Star Wars" films of all-time when I first saw it in theaters. I also think that "Rogue One" provides new insight about the events and history of the "Star Wars" universe that happened during the films of the first and second "Star Wars" trilogies and this film also has a lot of entertaining and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including a really great and amazing cast and personal storylines.

Enjoyed the movie sound, special effects and storyline

Absolutely wonderful. I was planning on waiting until all 3 new trilogy movies were released on BluRay to watch any of the new ones, so totally bought this on a whim. Broke down and watched it, and even though it's not a part of the new trilogy, it gives such depth to the existing storyline that I am no longer able to hold out with the rest of the movies... Absolutely awesome movie. The last 5 minutes were probably the most brutal and uplifting 5 minutes of cinema ever... For me anyway.

I highly recommend this. The blueray comes with alot of great extras and they delve into the film. I found Rogue One to not only be a great Star Wars film - one of the top three - but a great human drama film as well. Of course the VFX are astounding and of course the action can be intense, but I felt the film had alot of interesting political subtext and characters that were complex and interesting. If you are one to study the art of cinema, the extra features here are very illuminating. Worth every penny!

If you are a fan and need to have the collection, then you need this movie.

Another great addition to my Star Wars collection. Looks incredible in 4K.

Although this film is advertised as a "stand alone" film, the movie could actually be billed as episode 3.9. The film follows the characters on a mission to get the plans for the Empire's Death Star. It is the mission alluded to in A New Hope. Many of the characters are taken from the Star Wars Rebels series, which I actually have not seen. This fact did not take away from my enjoyment of this film. Without giving anything away, the ending gives the viewer that "wow" feeling. I highly recommend this film.
