As a long time Star Wars fan who happens to absolutely hate with a vengeance the ‘soft reboot’ that is The Force Awakens, I was very surprised to find myself liking Rogue One, a lot! This one actually has a story, with actual characters, actually doing something worthwhile in the Star Wars universe. Loved the characters, the mild series callbacks and fan service, loved how it drills down to the opening moments of the original first Star Wars. And yes, this blu-ray edition looks ace.

This is a great addition to any Star Wars fans movie collection.

Must have in the stars wars saga great audio and quality video

Rogue One tells an origin story never dealt with before in the Star Wars Saga. If you have ever wondered how the plans for the Death Star got into the princess' hands in Episode Four this movie fills in the details. Once again, the film features compelling characters and loads of action and special effects. While almost none of the original and continuing Star Wars characters appear in this film, the new ones will hold your attention...especially the female central character. Enjoy!

This is one of the best Star Wars movies ever, on par with Empire. Excellent characters and story line with great actors. Even though this is an independent story, it is a direct prequel to the opening to Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope. Additionally, the 3D version is not available from Disney, so for the same price as the Blu-ray is on the Disney site, you can get the 3D version from Best Buy. I highly recommend this film even if you are not a Star Wars fan, this is a great movie.

This movie is one Disney got right with Star Wars. The idea of taking a small plot point, mentioned briefly in the original trilogy, and telling an entire back-story around it is simply brilliant. And I love how the movie is a self contained story with a clear ending, not one setting up further sequels for these characters. I would love to see more movies like this one.

I grew up watching the original Star Wars Trilogy, and while I didn't hate the prequels or TFA, I always left the theater feeling underwhelmed. Due to this I decided TFA was the last presentation of these movies I'd go t the theater to see, and so I've held off watching this movie until I purchased the SteelBook release at Best Buy on release day. As is usual for this product line, it is an outstanding, complete collection, allowing you to watch across a wide number of platforms.

What can I say bad about this,... it's Star Wars. Loved this movie and this set included the 3D blu-ray. I still love 3D at home. Very disappointed that it has lost favor in the past few years with set makers. Passive 3D is Awsome. If you can handle it at the theater, you can handle it at home. Passive 3D is the same as theaters. I blame Sony and Samsung for going with Active shutter for 3D. Yes you got a true 1080p picture, but it gives too many people eye strain and headaches.

This movie is very well done. It is a great standalone movie that I think even non-Star Wars fans will enjoy. I love that you get to see familiar faces from both the old and new trilogies appear alongside an entirely new cast of characters. The story is fresh and captivating. I, personally, enjoyed this a lot more than The Force Awakens, which seemed like a desperate attempt to revive the same old tired plot. I really hope they make more standalone movies like this in the future!

Huge Star Wars fan! Needed 4K version for new TV!! Watched again and again!

The only 3D version of Star Wars Rogue One. Looks better in 3D on TV than at the movie theater! Also includes regular Blu-ray, DVD, digital code, and extras disc. All in a metal box that is a nice disc holder. Digital version registered in Disney Movies app also is available in Google, if you registered it that way. So can watch anywhere with WiFi or even download to phone or tablet to watch without WiFi. Bought on 1st day and got for a few dollars more than with no 3D version.

great movie if you like star wars! A little different but we enjoyed it

The best SW movie in the Disney era. Looks amazing in 4K. Highly recommended

This movie tells the back story to how Princess Leia received the files to the Death Star. At the beginning of Star Wars: A New Hope, she is seen inserting the disk into R2-D2, but we never find out how she acquired the information. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story provides this information. The story is solid, and unlike the three prequels that were made, it fits well into the story-line of the original Star Wars. I would like to see more stand-alone films in the Star Wars series.

If you're looking at a review for the SteelBook edition, you've probably already seen the movie, so I won't talk about that at length, but it's excellent. I plunked down the extra $5 for the collectible SteelBook. To clarify, that's the only difference (to my knowledge) between this and the regular blu-ray edition. I think the box art looks awesome, and makes a great part of my Star Wars movie collection. If that's not worth $5 extra for you, just get the regular version.

I was kinda shocked at how good Rogue One is. I won't say it's the best of the Star Wars movies, but it is very close. K2SO is my favorite character- how can you go wrong with a super-sarcastic, dry-witted former Imperial droid? I'm glad they at least acknowledged the Rebels from the TV show and even showed a glimpse of Chopper. That validates the series, unlike how the Marvel movies pretty much ignore what goes on in Agents of Shield, which is a good show in its own right.

Great movie. If you’re a fan of Star Wars it’s worth your time for sure
