Bring George Lucas back. I miss the wow factor from the past.

Of course I like it, because it's a Star Wars movie. Technically, it's a Star Wars story, but whatever. Star Wars fans will like it, but they have likely already seen it/own it, and won't need to read this review. Non Star Wars fans probably like it, as well, since the action is good and the production quality is excellent. It would be good for non Star Wars fans to brush up on the sage a bit; maybe watch Episode IV: A New Hope first to see how it fits.

It took awhile, but this movie finally got the treatment it deserved. Great movie!

I haven't felt this way about a star wars film since I first saw the movies in the seventies and eighties, but this one is in a whole different league grittier, not even remotely as cheerful as the other movies were, in addition this one had a decent amount of Starfighter combat and fleet action, and those scenes were very heavily detailed. long story short this is the star wars movie that I have been waiting for, and I can't wait to see what Disney comes up with next.

Excellent film. About time that we were shown the sometimes dark and gritty side of the Star Wars universe. After all, there are always winners and losers in every conflict. This one, in my opinion, is more a of draw with winners and losers on both sides. There are no light sabers or Force users in this one. It's all about ordinary people deciding to do an extraordinarily impossible thing knowing that it will probably be a one way trip. I can hardly wait to see more.

This is probably one my favorites of series because it added some war to Star Wars

Totally loved this film. It is what I had always hoped Episode III would have been! Not only a great story that fits right into the original Star Wars story line (not some random off-shoot), but the way they captured the look and feel of the original Star Wars (A New Hope) was superb. This movie can plug right into A New Hope without missing a visual beat! (Where the prequel's continuity failed miserably). Superb!! So happy to now add this Blu Ray to my collection.

Ok, I really liked the originals, episodes 4-6, just didn't like the ewoks, way to cutesy for me. Episodes 1-3, never watched one all the way through, Jar Jar was too annoying, didn't like young Anikan and grown up Anikan was really annoying to me. The Force Awakens was good, give that a 4 star but seems like a remake of Episode 4, quite a few parallels could be seen. This movie I loved, self contained, great action, true heros......I'll watch this one a few times.

Umm it’s Star Wars in super high definition, what’s there not to like!

As a Star Wars fan I enjoyed this movie a lot. But it does have kind of a "Fan Film" feeling to it. The main Star Wars films as we know them are basically stories about the Skywalker family. This one has almost nothing to do with them. Still, it's fun to watch adventures in the Star Wars Universe. Plus it has one of the best endings ever! As for the disc itself, it's basically your standard behind the scenes stuff. I was a little disappointed in the "Epilogue" feature. I thought it might be an actual Epilogue to the story. However, it was just more behind the scenes stuff about the cast and crew after filming. Although I will say that it's a nice bonus to have the extras available digitally when you redeem the code. Many of these I probably won't sit in my living room and watch. But I would watch these while I was stuck in a waiting room somewhere.

Great movie best disney star wars movie and beautiful visuals

The start of the rebellion had never looked so good. Must have.

As the title says, we all know how it ends (spoiler alert: the sequel to this movie is Episode IV). But still, I was glued to the screen from start to finish. The plot is okay, not in a "anime filler episode" but in a "lost chapters" sense, you didn't know you needed to see this part of the story until it was presented to you. And it answers a few questions you might have about the Death Star too! And I must admit, the ending scene gave me the feels.

This was a different type of flick for me. But I must say there was a lot of tense moments and I was definitely drawn into the time period. If I had kept up with Star Wars series I'd been a bit more informed. However, over all this was a well put together movie. I commend the different characters that made the movie blend nicely. In the end I finally was able to understand what and how everything tied itself together. I would say a family move, with some caution.
