I must admit I was not excited about the side stories idea for Star Wars movies. I was wrong. The story line in Rogue One is as good and any of the Star Wars Episode movies and just as enjoyable to watch. The actors did a great job and the story segment was perfectly in-line with the original episode. Great DVD quality. The video and audio are excellent. My only disappointment is that they choose not to release it in a 4K version.

I didn't expect much from this movie because generally movies outside of a series are generally just a cheap cash grab. This movie was the exception. In fact, the last 30 minutes of the movie did nothing more than make Episode IV that much more special. This went far beyond a story in the universe to a welcome addition to the series itself. So much so that now I'll watch this movie between episodes III and IV every time. Amazing!!!

Great sound, picture is great on an hd tv. Love it.

Ok, ive been a starwars fan since the start - lets go back to 1977, its been a deep part of my life for many years now. And there have been a lot of un answered questions in that time about the star wars universe - THIS movie fills in a LOT of blanks and really helped me make sense out of a lot of stuff! NO SPOILERS here = but suffice to say I greatly appreciate this movie! BUY IT!!!!! learn from it and may the force be with you!

I had great misgivings about these spinoff Star Wars films but Rogue One is a great film on its own and a great enhancement to the Star Wars storyline. This is a wonderful blu ray presentation with good extras. For another treat Go online and find the YouTube video of the Lucasfilm creators watching fan reaction videos to the first Rogue One trailer. Classic interaction between the creative team and the fans! Highly recommended!!!

I really enjoyed this installment in the Star Wars franchise. The story was great and really tied things together. I would've liked to see more of Mads Mikkelsen's character throughout the movie, which was kind of half-developed in the opening. The audience didn't get to see his plan to sabotage the Death Star as it happened, which could've added another element to the story. Also, I didn't care for Michael Giacchino's score. You could tell that he was rushed to complete it. To be fair though, he had a lot to live up to with fans expecting something as grand as what John Williams has done throughout the series. Gareth Edwards did a great job directing this film, and I was happy not to have the obligatory highly emotional crying scene that's been a staple of most of J.J. Abrams' films.

Believe it or not--this was the first of the Star Wars movies that I actually went to the theater first! (yes--always waiting for them to come out on video tape (haha) and DVD's. Great movie---the DVD is great. Fast paced movie. Great story and awesome effects. I would have loved for them to include the "other" ending that was filmed. Pretty much all the trailer scenes where I think everyone on the team lived. That would be cool.

Great extra's and a digital copy. Worth the price.

An excellent movie that does a great job of pulling together the events leading up to A New Hope. It could have been over the top with clichés and a lot of unnecessary references to simply just cash in; however, it wasn’t. It had a nice blend of an original story that lead up to but didn’t change A New Hope. It's not the typical episodic Star Wars movie but it's not supposed to be and, as it was labeled, it’s a Star Wars Story…

This is a tremendous effort as the first in the planned Star Wars Extended Universe. Since the sale to Disney, there has not been a misstep in the franchise. The story was superb (no spoilers) and the acting was probably the best in all of the movies. The quality of the digital transfer captured the essence. Although it cannot compare to seeing it in the theater (recommend IMAX), it is a must addition to your movie collection.

I didn't know what to expect when I watched this latest Star Wars movie. After having watched a couple of times, I feel it is right up there with the original 3 movies. The story was interesting and tied in to Episode 4 in such a cool way. The performances of all actors were spot on and believable for the characters they played. I won't give any spoilers, but if you loved the original 3 movies, you will really enjoy this movie.

Crystal clear 4k bluray! Loving all of Star Wars on 4k

This explains how the Death Star plans got into Princess Leia's hands at the start of Episode IV and sheds light on the many people who died getting these plans statement made by Leia. So, all of the main characters are gone by the end of this episode, and it is sad because I really liked the characters. I would really like to see more movies that go back before the rise of the Empire and that explain how the Jedi Order arose.

I saw the film in the theaters. It is one of the best Star Wars films I have seen. It is a darker feeling film but has plenty of comic relief. The battle at the end of the movie is one of the best I have seen in a Star Wars film. The price for the product at Best Buy was the same as any other retailer, but this Best Buy store has always treated me well and provided great service, I will continue giving this store my business.

This movie doesn't follow your typical Star Wars movie where you get to know and like new characters and have the ability to follow them in to other movies. It gives a unique look to what happened right before Episode IV and what the Rebel cause meant to some people. There were some great characters introduced in this movie and its a shame you can't follow them in other movies and the reason why will be revealed in the movie.

The case alone is great. It's much better from the other special editions other stores released. The steel book really gives it a feel of quality. As for the movie itself, amazing. A wonderful addition to the Star Wars franchise. The bonus features give you exactly what you would expect. Goes into some of the background to some of the characters that you might have been more curious about. An absolute buy for any Star Wars fan

Comes with all the standard disks: Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD, and Bonus disk with character stories and other featurettes. I wish Disney would have included more extras for this movie, though, like deleted scenes and alternate endings. They are probably holding out for special editions in the future. I bought this one because of the steel case. I love the steel books. They are sharp looking on the shelf and protect your movies!

I'd give "Rogue One" a 3.5 out of 5 stars, but rounded up to 4 stars. Pros: A Star Wars stand-alone story with a refreshingly different tone, style & diverse cast. The gorgeous visuals, special effects & action sequences drive the film at a swift pace. Cons: The movie is called "Rogue One" and Jyn Erso is the star of the movie, its protagonist & heroine. So it's a disappointment to learn that she's not actually Rogue One. In fact, it's almost forgettable what Rogue One actually is. Jyn's fleeting existence & demise are also a disappointment because, by the end of the movie, Jyn Erso is reduced to nothing more than a supporting role. For Star Wars fans, this is a decent filler until Episode VIII - The Last Jedi. However, The Force Awakens is still a better movie.
