This is one of my favorite Stars Wars movie and so glad it was released in 4k. I really enjoyed the story line pre dating New Hope.

Great Star Wars Movie to Round Out in 4K UHD

Great movie easily the best of the non-Original Triligoy Star Wars movies, easily outpacing the prequels, the post-Disney Star Wars movies, or Solo. Despite what people say about Grand Moff Tarkin and the uncanny valley, don't let that take away from the dialog. I could have watched a whole movie of just Grand Moff Tarkin and Director Krennic spitting barbs back and forth at each other.

Loved that it had such a great story and characters and ended up being the perfect transition movie right into Star Wars A New Hope. Me and my six year old have been watching all the movies and needed this one to continue the story for him.

This anthology movie takes place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. It is the bridge between the prequels episodes 1-3 and the original series episodes 4-6. A very enjoyable Star Wars movie with an excellent cast.

I will be glad when they start to do something new, but it is Star Wars and has to be part of your collection and am not disappointed I bought it. I was entertained but new what was coming next so the sense of wonder was not there.

Having Disney+ I was excited to see the Star Wars films were on there. However, these are at a much lower bitrate than physical. That being said this disc’s AV really shines. The picture and sound quality are amazing. I know Rouge One had its detractors but I absolutely loved it. Compared to the new trilogy of Skywalker films. It actually has a plot and pace that is both logical and makes sense. If you like the Star Wars films you owe it to see how those pesky blueprints got in the hands of the Rebels.

This is what Star Wars is supposed to be. Every actor was amazing, the plot wasn't too much, and was just perfect, the comedy relief was actually funny, the fighting was good, and it had the best Vader scene in any Star Wars movie. Vader is supposed to make even the viewers feel the terror of the dark side when he gets serious, and they never really showed that side of him before this movie. The scene at the end when he rips through those rebel fighters in that hallway made the hairs on my arms stand up. Immaculate, and not overdone. It lasted just as long as it should've. I'll say it again, the CASTING... perfection. Mads Mikkelson was a perfect choice, I loved the main character. A strong willed, serious woman who doesn't try too hard to be a "badass chick" like the Wonder Woman actress or the Zoey Saldana roles she does, and she just plays the role with passion and talent. I loved her in this. The security droid was freakin hilarious too, and I'm really critical of humor in sci-fi movies because comedy becomes cheesy or forced way too easily to me. But that character was done perfectly. Yeah, I wasn't huge on the pilot dude (forget his name), but the one who owns the droid and was kinda supposed to be the Han Solo type character. But he wasn't bad, and didn't hurt the movie in my opinion. Forest Whitaker was a great choice too. Idk, I just loved the vibe and everything else about this movie. It and The Mandalorian gives me hope that Disney is figuring Star Wars out and realizing that it doesn't have to be some big Hollywood production with romance, comedy, action, sadness, redemption, and the whole overdone routine.. as long as it's a well written script, well casted, and has passionate people behind it who know and respect Star Wars, it will be a hit. And it's gotta be something new. P.S. The Jedi Fallen Order video game is also a huge hit in my opinion (I'm in the middle of it now), so that's 3 Star Wars original stories that Disney has done very well. There's hope! lol

Empire Strikes Back is the best movie of all of the Star Wars franchise. Rogue One the second best hands down. Rogue One is the bridge between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. It was cast brilliantly and the endings are stupendous.

I enjoyed picking this up on the cheap in 4k. Added to the Star Wars collection and watching it again picked up on how dark this story really is - IMO of course. The scenes with Vadar are just plain awesome. I like how it ties in to Episode 4.

This was a "Star Wars Story" that was very overdue for telling. I really, truly liked it a lot! Great action and characterization. Finally saw the real, murderous Darth Vader that should have been shown, decades ago. Nice movie!

I didn't realize that this was part of the whole Star Wars Canon, NOT to be confused with Qanon, by the way, but this film PERFECTLY tells the story of, and bridges the events between Episode III and Episode IV... this could, in the most classic way, be considered Episode III.V (3.5) and it has a couple of the classic characters we all know from the Canon-- Darth Vader, once again voiced by James Earl Jones, C3PO and R2D2, and a few others

This is a terrific Star Wars film. I know it’s not cannon, but it’s a great standalone flick, featuring lots of action, great special effects and a fun story. I highly recommend it, especially to the Star Wars fans.
