Something is missing from this soundtrack. I was worried about this movie soundtrack the whole year knowing Williams wasn't doing it. THEN it switched composed in SEPTEMBER! Yikes. Still, Giacchino did a bang up job on this soundtrack, and yes, the more I listen to it the more I hear the themes. I guess it took me a while to really get TFA soundtrack, too. I'm looking forward to seeing Rogue One again with this music in my head.

Michael Giacchino might not be John Williams, and the score might be slightly jarring for that reason, but the score is well constructed and orchestrated to fit in well within the Star Wars musical universe. Also, this score is a lot of fun with many excellent themes.

The first Star Wars soundtrack not written by John Williams did not disappoint. Michael Giacchino did a great job composing a score that stands on it's one, like the movie it's about, but also fits in with the established Star Wars musical universe. Highly recommended!

The first Star Wars movie score by a composer other than John Williams. Giacchino blends his style with John Williams in style and themes, making a worthy implementation of Star Wars sound.

I love Michael Giacchino's music in general, but this has tipped the scales! The dramatic space opera themes are perfect and truly amazing! Giacchino is at his best in this heartrending unending movie soundtrack!

I love it. I actually bought this before I saw the movie. And while the music score is almost entirely new, I think the composer and orchestra did an amazing job in keeping the style of the originals. Love it!

other than not having the star wars theme, this is a great score. it doesn't lose anything without the star wars theme. it has it's own identity and tune. and what a new vision it is. just awesome.

Although this is not up to the same caliber as John Williams' soundtracks, this is a good soundtrack for a great movie. There are a couple welcomed call backs to the original trilogy soundtracks.

Picked this up to accompany the movie because I found it hard to identify any recurring themes while watching. Most of the Episodic movie soundtracks had at least one memorable theme. Now I'm finally able to pick some out in Rogue One, and find myself humming them from time to time. I guess it's growing on me.

The music is almost right in line with what one would expect from a Star Wars movie. Dramatic and pulse pounding you can almost see the movie in your mind when listening to the music.

Wouldn't have bought this if I didn't have a coupon about to expire, but I'm glad I did. Faint hints of familiar SW music in a collection that has a fantasy feel similar to Hobbit/LOTR. Plus a touch of Middle-Eastern music and an amusing alternate track listing.

Not the grand sweep of John Williams but the music suits the flavor of Rogue One perfectly. Also makes for a great listening experience apart from the movie.

I love the soundtrack. It's not John Williams, but I think Michael Giacchino did an excellent job incorporating old themes with new themes for the movie.

Loved the movie. Loved the soundtrack. For a Star Wars fan, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] [CD] is a must have.

Very tight-knit movie, excellent character development, especially for a movie with few characters from the rest of the series.

I've seen the movie, and now own the movie. Had to have the soundtrack as well. If you are a fan of the movie you should have this CD.

Loved the movie; and the soundtrack does not disappoint! I got lucky as this was the LAST copy in-store and was in PRISTINE condition!

I really enjoyed this, at least until my 18 year old son decided he liked it too and he took it back to college by mistake he claims.

After watching the movie I couldn't wait to buy the soundtrack. It was better than expected. An improvement over The Force Awakens.
