Got my roku4 within a week of it coming out. Plugged it in, fired it up and started to enjoy. When I put the batteries in the remote, I thought the battery cover was a bit wonky, but quickly forgot about it. Then the cover came off and I discovered that the little tab that holds it in place was broken. "No problem," I thought, "its a 25 cent part and its definitely under warranty." So I contacted their support and was told that they could not send me just the 25 cent piece, they could only replace the whole remote. When I said, okay, so send me a new remote then, I was told, basically, that they would try - that they would keep my ticket open. I paid very good money for this thing and I'm sorry, but the remote missing the back cover is trashy.

The Roku 4 is an excellent streaming box, especially if you have a 4K television. I've been using Roku boxes for several years and have been very happy with them. Compared to other ones (Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV), they have the most available apps. The Roku 4 improves on previous versions in terms of speed and features. However, be advised that while it does support 4K, it does not support HDR. For HDR support, you would need to get one of the new boxes that Roku just released.

I have had this device for a little while now and it is pretty awesome. It is so much faster and even seems to look better when streaming compared to the roku 2

I bought my Roku and got it set up and for the most part it works fine. I watched the Superbowl on it and have watched various other shows on it. The only issue I have had with it is from time to time it hangs and I have to quit the app and go back into it. Doesn't happen very often but when it does it's annoying. If it wasn't for that I would give it 5 stars. Still glad I bought it and I save tons of money since I don't have cable. I do recommend for anyone looking for a cable alternative.

Here I am comparing my experience of the Roku 4 to another streaming device made obsolete by a Amazon Prime decision to discontinue its streaming programs to my previous streaming device. The Roku 4 is generally quicker to respond to commands and offers a better screen appearance of the video programs. Additional streaming channels are available and fairly easy to add. The ability to give verbal commands is quite nice to save a lot of time from doing a search for a movie title, actor name by making multiple presses of keys for a single letter. The lack of an Internet browser is HIGHLY disappointing. There is a beta version of a product touted as a browser. However, I have found that it is not functioning.

I have owned the Roku 2 and 3 and love them. I bought a 4K television in March of this year, but was disappointed when I found a lack of 4K content to stream. I know I can use my TV for streaming 4K Netflix and Amazon 4K, but the Roku 4 promised more 4K. Vudu and others. Let me start with, if you have used Roku in the past, this operates the same exact way. I didn't notice anything different between this one and the Roku 3, except for 4K of course. This one is much larger than the other ones, but it's not THAT big. So I can't complain about it. My ONLY complaint about it was the remote lost connection to the device, fairly regularly. I know it's not a big deal to re-pair the devices, but when it happened 2 or 3 times a week, it becomes annoying. I returned my first Roku 4 after about 2 weeks. My second Roku 4 had the same exact problems so I am sad to say that I abandoned the Roku 4, at least for now. The device was nice, but after re-pairing the remote to the Roku one to many times eventually got to me.

Excellent streaming device. Have it hooked up via wifi and so far it hasnt missed a beat. Dont have a UHD TV yet so cant comment about streaming by UHD

This device is awesome. Already having a Roku streaming stick I wanted and needed a upgrade for my 4k TV and the Roku 4 was perfect it has more apps it runs faster and the picture is beautiful on my 4k TV. So if you're looking for a streaming device with 4k (Netflix & YouTube in 4k is great ) or just a fast streaming HD device with not a lot of hassle then this is perfect.

The Roku 4 is everything it is being described as and as reviewed all over the internet. Very easy set up and use.

I still have the Roku 3 which works great on any A1080p TV, however this new Roku 4 is much better as it fully supports my Samsung 4k TV, I love it.

I love the roku 4. It is easy to hookup and use. It is a must have if you're into watching a bunch of shows on different apps like Netflix and Hulu.

Simple straight forward firmware. The Roku is easy to use. The Roku is working fine and I have not had any fan issues that prior reviews have noted.

Easy to set up, simple to use, incredible picture quality. We also like the voice activated search function.

I own top of the line OPPO Blue-ray Player, Sony XBR70 TV, Sony PS4 all of which come with streaming capabilities, but none succeed as does the ROKU 3 in my bedroom and the ROKU 4 in the living room. I bought the ROKU 4 for a friend who already owned a streaming TV, he thought the ROKU 4 was a pointless gift considering his TV already had streaming capabilities, that was, until he discovered the ROKU 4 was a lean, mean, streaming machine; out preforming his TV.

I love this unit as it provides me with an all in one experience. Vudu, Mgo, many media apps and 4K! Love the speech search and headphone option!

I bought this to replace my Roku 2....wow what an improvement....so much faster and it appears at least for me that the Wi-Fi is more reliable!

I am very pleased with the upgraded media player. The resolution of the picture is really enhanced on my new 4k tv. The download speed is fast.

Beats the Apple TV, runs very fast and you have so many channels specially if you have premium channel subscriptions. Also can't beat the 4k.

Love it, faster than roku3, it's a little bigger, but works great
