So I actually switched from appletv to roku. I am a apple fan but tv streaming I find roku better.

Bought as a gift for my Dad. But I bought one for myself when it first came out in Oct. I love it.

This device has eased my transition away from cable and satellite. For the first time I am experiencing access to more programing want to watch than I have time to enjoy watching. No more dozens of channels with "nothing on." Roku also provides access to much more 4k viewing.

Works well. Easy to use. I got this when I got rid of my cable.

its difficult to learn how to use this item, and i didn't know anything about it. I am trying to save money by eliminating the cable bill.

Roku 4 is excellent if you want to cut the cord - but don't think you're just going to cut the cord and have "free tv" because you bought this thing. You still have to pay for the tv services that you want through this, you just have more control over what you're paying for than with a traditional cable service. You can get the channels or shows you want without the added fluff channels. Anyway - it's not free but it is cheaper and it's better. Roku gives great clarity and HD; better than what we had with Charter Cable's HD service with their HD set top box. We coupled the Roku with an HD antenna to get the over the air channels and are completely happy with our choice. No more ridiculous cable bills in the mail every month for a bunch of channels we don't watch.

Was easy to hook up and the setup took place almost immediately.

I had the Roku 2 and I'm so glad I upgraded to the Roku 4. I love the apps and new features.

Tons of great apps all in one. They had PlayStation vu and vudu. I feel that time and effort was put into this product. I have had Apple TV, fire tv, and chrome. I believe Roku has the best quality and many options. One suggestion Would be to allow user to change the direct app button on remote for your personalization. Overall a 5 star!

There are some negative reviews out there, but I have nothing but positive feedback. My Roku 4 runs very smoothly with zero issues. There is no fan noise or overheating. It has by far the most channels of any other streaming device. The 4K capabilities rock! I upgraded from the Roku 3 and the Roku stick. The Roku 4 is my new favorite.

First time streamers... tried Apple TV a few years ago, seemed restrictive and only focused on Apple content. Roku is a streaming integrator; brings together Netflix, hulu and much more into a seamless interface. Phone apps are way cool, no need to use the remote. Roku 4 supports 4k and has dual core cpu; steaming quality was stunning.

Love Roku! A great alternative to cable, although I still have cable for the ID channel! :)

Easy to use, easy to install, great for streaming. Love it.

The picture quality and speed is very good. However, I could not get past the antiquated interface. Every other streamer has a better interface. 4K is great but no HDR. Some Smart 4K TV's have both. So I returned it. If the interface was updated maybe but it just felt old.

Bought this to ensure future 4K viewing capability. Unit did not detect that my tv is a 1080p and initially set viewing at 720. Had to manually change to 1080p but wasn't difficult. Like that it is fast and has Netflix and Amazon. Was vacillating between this and Apple TV ( which doesn't have Amazon capability). Happy with my choice

I have purchased Roku boxes in the past so this was a easy pick. Fantastic for streaming!
