The Roku 4 is a nice upgrade from my Roku 2 in that it will play newer videos with 4K content on my new 4K TV. I don't care much for the headphone jack on the remote. I use headphones a lot for watching TV and find the wire for the headphones getting in the way more often than not. I prefer wireless headphones. I liked the A/V jack on the Roku 2 box that I could use for directly plugging in my wireless headphone base unit. The Roku 4, however, does offer an optical jack that I can use by first plugging in a digital to analog converter box (available on the internet) to the optical jack and then plugging my wireless headphone base unit into the converter box, so problem solved. All in all, I like the Roku 4.

Roku is good but gets hot since it doesn't turn off.

Saw this on Best Buy.com, it was cheaper online then in the store. I went into the store and they priced matched their own online price... I use this roku in my bedroom cause I don't have cable in there. I love it! Get to watch all my shows when I want to.

I've bought 2 Roku 4s so far. One for me (no 4k), one for my son-in-law who has 2 4k systems. (He bought a 2nd one for the other system.) I bought mine to upgrade from an older Roku 3. The speed difference is amazing. Fastest response yet. Best video quality ever.

Perfect for 4K but lack of contents is the issue...

Very easy to operate. Many options to choose from.

As a product this one is well designed. It needs a volume control for the TV (TV integration is needed for ALL streaming sources), and this has a convenient headphone Jack on the remote. However, buyers need to be educated on entertainment sourcing since streaming is managed completely different from cable. For instance, you have to authenticate subscribed channels to your Internet provider in order to be allowed the signal, and if you have not paid for TV signals but just Internet access, then you may be refused access. As an example, ESPN is broadcast over the Internet but Time Warner Cable won't allow you to receive ESPN if you have not bought their Sports Package, even though you own a streaming device and the signal for ESPN is "free". The bottom line is streaming is done to cut way back on bills, but if you watch a lot of TV then you probably won't like how it works.

I was paying a lot of money for cable which included 80% of channels that I never watched. Roku gives me just what I want. No DVR needed. My Bose sound system hooked up so easily to it. The picture is absolutely beautiful. I love it! I definitely recommend it!

Bought the Roku on the recommendation of a friend. Very easy to use, doesn't take up much space. My only complaint is that the box gets extremely hot while plugged in, even when not in use. I had to keep it unplugged when not using it because it gets so hot.

We love our Roku. The whole family can use it, as it's very user-friendly.
