If you're looking for an excellent streaming device for your TV, pick the Roku 4 streaming media player. You have a myriad of apps already installed, and you can add more at Roku.com when you set up an account online. I've had a Roku 2 for 4 years, and am extremely happy with this new Roku 4, which handles 4K video.

The machine worked fine except we had an issue with using the headphone jack on the remote which was choppy sound on the playback. We tried with multiple headphones and had the same result. We exchanged the unit but have not had a chance to test the new one out to see if the same issue happens on the new unit.

As a cable TV subscriber with a never ending, always increasing bill, I took the first step in cable cutting which was to purchase the roku 4 uhd. 4k is delivered perfectly with a large number of channel providers available. I seem like every other day there's a new channel available. I highly recommend it!

Bought this for the 4K content available and playable. Way too many channels (that is a good thing). I would like to see a designated power/on-off button on the remote. You either have to go into Setting on the menu to find the power off button or have it power off "automatically" after 15 minutes of "non-use"

Very rarely see the loading menu when using this on my 1080p TV (no 4U yet for me). Some apps that play well on our Roku 3's, like YouTube, sometimes freeze or crash on a launch. Prob the apps need to be updated, not fair to blame it on the Roku.

Roku 4 streaming media player is a great way to help cut the cable cord. If you don't have to watch some programs instantly this is perfect . Many channels have live tv. Great 4k and uhd streaming.

This is a great investment if you want to drop cable/dish. You will have to subscribe to an internet TV provider, but much cheaper. WiFi is needed, but if you look around enough you can hundreds of free channels. Since I let my morals guide me, I choose the Roku over a jail broke Amazon Fire

Roku 4 was well designed and we love it. The only thing I'd like them to add is the ability to search through my network folders and files for my movies in digital format. I might have to buy an Apple TV or Plex TV to make that work.

I use it abroad where i live . It is fantastic. Clear sounds,stream very well 'and good mirroring . Some apps my not work abroad such showtime is not working in my country because of the ciuntry rules. I hope this is reversed soon.

This is a great device. I was paying my cable bill monthly a 100+ for no reason. Now I can watch all sports including my favorite soccer either at home or away. I don't regret cutting my cable and keeping just an Internet service.

Roku is an amazing streaming device, especially the Roku 4 for Ultra HD TVs. You will find it very easy to connect to your TV and it makes watching your favorite TV shows or motives through Netflix or other Apps more convenient.

upgraded from my Roku LT. what a difference. Love the options for 4k streaming with my sony 55 inch 4k tv. some cons: not sure how the on/off works also getting use to the "OK" button being below the arrow buttons...old version had it in the middle. but other than that, loving my Roku.

I bought this when it first came out, and had to exchange it twice before getting one that worked. It has been months with no issues. I personally like roku, and really like the voice search capability on this model. I have roku sticks on two different TVs and much prefer this.

I already had another Roku but since my husband lost his sight, we have slowly been making entertainment more user friendly for him. Roku 4 has the headphone jack but I wish it didn't turn off the sound completely. I have ti use another device to watch the program as well. He loves it.

I got the Roku because we have Amazon Prime and I wanted to watch Bosch. I really love the streaming process. I'm hoping to replace the tv with a 4K unit now. Setup was reasonably easy, but I had an Ethernet jack available. WiFi connection didn't go as well due to the house layout.

The Roku 4 was easy to install. Roku support has been friendly and useful but not always completely accurate. Programs sometimes cut out and support and I so far have not completely solved the problem. Yet, I am hopeful.

The Roku 4 in my opinion is the best 4K video streaming device on the market yet. It has lots of content and even though the content is compressed, it still looks good. It's no Kaleidescape (which is the only player that has true uncompressed 4K) rbut it's also 1/10 the price.

We bought the Roku 4 as part of our Uverse replacement project (which includes a Tivo Bolt and a TiVi Mini). We love the simple interface, the cool headphone equipped remote, and the Sling TV button right on the remote.

This product fits into kind of a weird niche. This is the Roku player that can stream 4k, but most 4k tvs have smart apps built in. Another issue is the HDCP, which is copyright encryption built into the HDMI signal. I got a Roku 4 thinking that I could hook it into my existing home theater system, but my reciever wasn't compatible. I would recommend to anyone who is thinking about getting one of these that they try the apps built into the TV first, and to check on the HDCP for their equipment. That being said, setting it up and using it for the limited time that I had it was very easy and straightforward.

This is a really great product. I've had several Roku devices and this is the best I've owned. 4k streaming is gorgeous if you have the Internet bandwidth. Highly recommend!
