Works the same as the previous Roku. Without 4K content there is no advantage to purchase this model. Once 4K content becomes more prevalent the increase cost is worthwhile.

I bought this for steaming 4k from Netflix and vudo, and it performs great. However it doesn't work with hdmi control(CEC). (yet, I hope) it says it does but not in my setup. Un48ju6400-Samsung Vsx-1124- pioneer Roku 4

With the Roku, a good antenna, and a subscription to Sling I was able to cut the cord completely. I saved enough off my Direct TV bill to pay for this device in 2 months.

I ultimately returned this model of Roku and purchased the latest one, called Roku Ultra. This Roku 4 is noisy and runs very hot.

I have had all of the generations of roku's and this is by far the best. It receives Over 3000 channels and it upscales everything to 4K. The voice controls work well. I sold my other rokus and purchased all 4K roku's

I like Roku. It has great apps and services. I just wish that you could program the remote to control the TV volume like you can do with Apple TV. Otherwise, I recommend.

RoKu is the one to get if you're dreading to pay all those cable company contract.. Get this one and I'm pretty sure you will get almost all of your entertainment fix

Went from Roku 1 to roku 4!! Best. Decision. EVER. UHD streaming is the only way to go, Not to mention the easy to navigate interface and menus. I haven't tried the voice recognition on the remote yet, But that's NEXT!

It does what it's supposed to do and I can't asks for much more. I like the audio plug in the remote. It would be nice to have Bluetooth headphone connection and numbers on the remote. Other than that, it works great.

WORKS GREAT BUT ON OCCASIONS MY 4K TV WILL REGISTER 1080P WHEN I VIEW 2160 (uhd) PROGRAMMING, NETFLIX INDICATES THEY ONLY REQUIER 25GB AND I HAVE 40GB. ON SOME 4K PROGRAMMING ITS HARD TO DISTINGUISH 1080P FROM 4K

My device refused to connect to the Wifi out of the box, I have heard many positive things about The Roku lineup, and I feel like I got my lemon out of the way but decided to return it and wait for the next update

I bought the ROKU to provide a more robust streaming experience and allow streaming of 4K to my 4K tv- though content is limited. The player is still new to me but the price and versatility were worth the upgrade.

Mainly purchased the Roku 4 for the Time Warner app. The 4K content is just slightly better than 1080p, probably due to compression and bandwidth restriction. I'm sure this will probably get better in the future.

The Roku is top notch. Better than the other competitors. 4K is great. Selection of channels is endless. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a streamer.

Roku makes any tv a smarter tv. This version is larger than the hockey puck versions but slimmer. No fan issues as of yet. Highlights 4K shows and channels.

If I didn't need the Apple unit to make things easier for all my other Apple devices and computers, I would only need this Roku - it "wants" to get 4K to your tv and it works hard to make it happen. Enjoy!

Not at all what we were expecting. It gets very hot. And when it shuts itself down it would lose connection to the remote. Only unplugging unit would allow it to work again. We had to use the app to control it. It seems to be still in beta and needs software updates fixes. Not noticeable difference from our roku 3 ....yet

At the time, the Roku 4 was the best you could get, with 4K support. However, Roku has redone their lineup and replaced the numbered series with new ones, so I don't know how useful this review will be.

ROKU 3 worked great. ROKU 4 is a headache because it constantly shuts down by itself, and it won't come back on with the remote. I have to go to the unit and press the reset button. Many time's I've had to unplug the unit from the power outlet to get a hard reset. The unit will also lock up and the only way to clear it is by removing the power cord. Never had these issues with the ROKU 3,

I have owned Roku 2 and Roku 3 and decided to buy a Rok4 to be prepared for 4K content when I upgrade my television. I am using Roku4 with Tablo since I cut the cord and don't have an $85 cable bill.
