I hooked up my new Roku 4 to my 4K TV and the picture quality is great. The 4K channel makes it easy to find everything that is currently in 4k. No more searching for content. Roku makes my life easy. The remote finder button should be on all remotes!!! The devices is fast, quite, a little warm but that is natural for all electronic devices. Just don't put your electronics on top of each other or in a closed space and its fine. Roku 4 is Amazing. It is easier to use and has more content than any other competitor I have used

I GAVE THIS A 3 STAR. IT TENDS TO FREEZE. I HAVE HAD TO RE-INSTALL 3 TIMES WITHIN THE 2 MONTHS IVE HAD IT. THE RESOLUTION ISN'T VERY GOOD. VERY GRAINY AND COLOR IS OFF. I PLAN TO PURCHASE APPLE TV. I HOPE IT IS BETTER

The Roku 4 was super easy to setup and even though my television isn't 4k(1080), the resolution is definitely much greater when using my Roku. The voice search feature is exceptional, picks up commands quickly & precisely and the 4k spotlight feature is genius as no other device will let you see all 4k content available on the device, in one place. I used the headphones just to test them out & I was very impressed, so much so that I use them when I workout as well!

The "upgrades" don't really shine through for me on the Roku 4. I have a Roku 3 that does the job just fine. So if you aren't in need of 4k I would recommend saving some bucks and just go with the Roku 3.

This was a convenient option for streaming a variety of content, but I ultimately exchanged it for a Roku 4 so I could connect via Cat5e instead of WiFi.

Forget the reviews about fan noise. There is a setting to turn it on or off. When on, I had to put my ear next to it to hear it. This is a non-issue now. It does get hot. I had I on a carpeted floor when I was first hooking it up. Playing 4k content it got hot. I've had instances where playback froze, but not the unit. Rewinding a minute or two fixed this mostly, but I have not had the issue since it mounted it vertically with a strip of Velcro so that most of both sides are exposed to air. (It's mounted on a vertical post on my equipment rack) Setup was easy. What was hard was finding out which HDMI ports were HDCP 2.2 compliant. This is required for 4k streaming. In my case since the signal passed through my amp to get to the projector, BOTH had to be 2.2 compliant. In my case, only one port on each was. Many "channels" are available. One of the hardest things is deciding which ones you want. There is a channel called "4k Spotlight" that finds 4k content across all channels. This is a nice feature you will need a good internet connection for 4k download; 12-15 Mbps at least. Mine is hard wired, but it does have wireless too. 4k looks great and I've had no problems with it after mounting the unit. From an audio standpoint, I was even able to hear a movie in Dolby Atmos. While one indicator on my amp listed the audio as "D+", the display on the amp said it was deciding Atmos and it sounded like it. VUDU has an Atmos demo and it was definitely decoding Atmos. Couldn't do the same with YouTube. Not sure why. The search feature searches across ALL sources which is superior to what the Amazon box does. The voice input is not like that on the Amazon box. It is simple voice input, but I find it adequate and better than typing. You have to enunciate clearly and I've had a couple of times it just wouldn't work. Saying "Dolby Atmos" for example. But when I said "Fred Astaire" it listed every movie of his available. Selecting one shows rack service offering it and the price, This is a great product and I have recommended it to my friends.
