It worked ok but there was a loud humming noise with the Roku 4. It was distracting enough to us that we returned it. Our Roku 3 does not do this.

I got this to save money on cable. This is basically a device to watch old shows on and also brings all the paid options to one place but you still need to pay for most things after purchase.

If you like British TV shows and movies, this is the best way to see them. Other than that, our smart TV has a better interface for Netflix and the other mainstream streaming apps.

Even though the overall reception to the Roku 4 was underwhelming, I would have to say it doesn't even live up to those weak expectations. The additional features since the Roku 3 (the main being 4K "support") didn't justify the price increase. The problem is the terrible Roku software & operating system --- which isn't focused on leveraging 4K, isn't sped up much despite upgraded hardware, and most importantly doesn't compare to the Apple TV platform and therefore has pathetic third-party app experience.

Works fine but there are small issues. Remote loses connection all the time so ended up using phone app that works better. Not much 4K stuff to watch. I prefer the sticks.

I've had just about every roku. But this one falls short. My roku 3 is just as good. Unless you have a 4k tv this is recommended by me if you already have a roku 3.

Don't buy the roku if you think your going to get free TV cause your not. Most all shows / movies you have to pay for . I did purchase netflix but that's it

Remote goes into sleep and doesn't wake up even after repeated tries. Read online forums and try to reset it but still the same issue. Replaced batteries and tried for another week, same issue continues day after day. Just frustrated with this annoying device. I used roku 2 and roku one for more than 6 years now but roku4 is just so much bad with this sleep mode characteristic.

Roku 4 stays on eating data until channel turn it off. Want to turn if OFF, click remote until the Home screen appears - HOME, down 7 Remote clicks to Settings, right to Network, down 9 to System, right to About, down another 6 t o Power, right to Auto Power, down 3 to Power Off, another click to OK No off switch on unit, and Roku 4 no way a simple click at home screen

i purchased this to be used with my sharp 4k tv. after spending 30 min attaching everything and going through the setuo process and downloading my fav channels i came to the conclussion it was not my cup of tea. it was very slow on changing from tv to streaming and actually locked up so i couldnt get back to tv. so i returned it. might be good for you but not for me.

The roku is lacking some no brainer add-ons like a power on/off button. You can get used to these differences, but i does get annoying.

A lot of programs I cannot access via Roku. So that's disappointing. Other than that it's good.

Read all the reviews and to be honest, the negative comments made me hesitate on my purchase. I finally decided to chance it and boy am I glad I did. What an excellent device, clearly a superior upgrade. Mine is virtually silent so all those complaining about the fan noise, well, I don't get it. The picture is better and it's noticeable at how much faster this unit is compared to the ROKU 3 it replaced. I highly recommend the ROKU 4.

I am getting issues every now and then like random restarts and sometimes i have to restart it myself because it freezes up.

This product only works if you the latest 4 K TV they require special HDMI outlet.

Ruko is not always functional equipment. I get so upset at times but I still try to see the good in this product.

It's ok, but not great. I wasn't that impressed with this product and ended up exchanging it for the Apple TV.

Still not sure about this product. Not any different from using my computer to watch TV, except now I have a remote, which is cool. What is not cool is my TV keeps losing the signal from the device. I have to constantly unplug it to re-boot it. I've contacted Roku tech support a few times, through chat. They take a long time, and their support has not really helped...

Lets face it, Roku beats out any other streaming box including Apple TV just by the simplicity of it's interface, home screen and way around the device and I have owned every Roku since gen 1. This new box is even better and now supports 4K however I own a 4K TV 1st Gen and unless you have the codec connection within your HDMI through the latest 4K TVs, this box will not support your 4K TV. Plus 4K content is very limited and there is just not enough of it out there to justify upgrading to this box just for the 4K capability. The other drawback I found with this box is that it is larger, despite being thinner, Roku went the other direction and made their box larger size? Did not make much sense to me with this option. This all being said, this is still the fastest and easiest streaming box to own and has literally every channel you could ask for including HBO Now and Netflix as well as other movie channels which will help to phase cable out. I would highly recommend since the price is right and Roku still reigns supreme!

Easy to use, but didn't have enough information on how much it would cost to stream shows.
