The 4k compatibility finally allows me to play 4K content on my tv!!! I finally can enjoy my 4K tv to its full potential !!! Not to forget I stay losing my remote, their remote finder locates the remote by a loud sound that it plays. Last but not least the wireless network card is AC band, which means even if I place this roku in my 3rd bedroom which is pretty far from my wireless router it actually picks up the signal and plays the content very smoothly! Def. Faster and more powerful than the roku 3!!! Just wonderfull!!!!!!!

hi, I am a happy owner of a Roku 4. I meet all the necessary requirements to be able to get 4K. I have a 65" Vizio M 4K TV (2015) which has one HDMI 2.0 port that is also HDC 2.2 compliant and I also used an HDMI 2.0 cable to connect to my TV. The Roku 4 immediately recognized I met all requirements and went into 4K mode. Now, you have to understand, there is not a lot of 4K content out there in the way of movies. Yes, you might get some from Netflix, but is gonna be based on your internet connection to the web. There is some nifty 4K videos on youtube, just have to search. Right now, this device is working awesome for me, only giving it 4 stars, cause wow, this thing gets warm lol. It didn't come with any feet to raise it up any so I am gonna come up with something myself.

I gave my roku 2 to my girlfriend because her wireless dvd player was always buffering. So I replaced my old Roku 2 with a Roku 4. It made a big difference in speed. Its larger than the my old Roku 2 but the speed is what I like to see. No buffering and setup is a snap.

I just purchased roku 4 and compare to my roku 3...Wow!!!! It's so amazing the clarity of roku 4 is an all time winner. I'm so happy I didn't listen to the negative reviews people had to say about this unit. I do not have a 4k tv yet and it still the picture delivers a fantastic picture the quality is superb And as the sound being to loud on the unit (B.S) I do not even hear humming coming from the unit. Do what your heart tells you to do, don't let others tell you what not to do.

The picture quality streaming through this product was so poor that I am due up having to return it and go with Amazon fire which I feel isn't much superior product

I was pulled into the Roku world with the Roku Stick. While I enjoyed the variety of the channels the performance was exactly what you expected from a "stick" streaming device. Within seconds of turning on the Roku 4 I was blown away at the performance. Switching between channels takes a second and the quality is amazing. Best example is Sling TV.. it used to take a full minute to scroll through the channels. With the Roku 4 it flies through them. So if you have a Roku Stick.. trust me the performance upgrade along is well worth it. *Note that I am using Ethernet with my Roku 4. I strongly suggest it, remember the remote does not need direct line of sight. My Roku is on the floor above my TV and the remote works great.

Purchased two of these. Both of them turned to a brick while downloading an update on setup. Stick with Roku 3.

Love this device. I have a Roku stick and Roku 3. This blows them away with it's speed (especially on services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Video). It's very fast and responsive. It switches between apps very fast and the load/play time is incredible. I don't have a 4K TV yet so I can't speak to the quality of it's 4K capabilities. I've read others have had an issue with the fan sound. I've had my Roku 4 for about a week and haven't heard the fan once, and it's used about 16hrs a day.

I was up in the air between this and the shield tv. Went this route due to the price. The search function is nice and I enjoy how easy the interface is to navigate around. My wife and I enjoy the Roku 4 however at around 30 minutes to a hour of watching 4k content the fan kicks on. The fan is pretty loud. It's not too bad if you have a sound system but at night when having the volume low it gets a little distracting. I will be exchanging this for the Shield T.V. Netflix 4k content looks amazing with the Roku 4 especially House of Cards.

It did a horrible job streaming channels. It lagged and rebuffered every 10 min or so and the picture was not clear.

A great streaming unit that can do 4k. Unit does run hot which has only led to an issue once that was fixed by unplugging it briefly. overall satisfied

Constantly loses signal. Only occurs when steaming with roku 4 unit. Looking for a replacement.

I had 3 in a row that didn't last a week. If I had it to do over I'd keep my money.

Can't watch it for more than a couple of minutes and it stops. Terrible system.

The wonderful size, WiFi, setup, channels and more are all finally what I'd always wanted the original product to be. This is an outstanding internet TV device and I have gladly replaced my Roku 3 with this Roku 4. I understand it takes a while to get things right. Roku has always been good but this is their home run device. My old 3 can move upstairs and it is fine for occasional use but for the den the 4 is what we have been asking for. I am glad they listened to their customers.

I've been waiting a lot time for the Roku 4 to replace the Roku 3's in my house. I've waited several days before writing this review. Unfortunally I can't recommend the Roku 4 at this time. There's some great specs and updates from the Roku 3 but at this time there is too much broken. Roku says they are working on a firmware update, but I have a feeling some of these problems are related to hardware and they will need to do a revised motherboard / chipset. The problems include DD+ not working over HDMI even though the Roku itself confirms its detected from audio equipment. In stereo it drops out every so often. The remote doesn't always respond to button presses. There's a loud fan and the unit still gets hot, very hot. I really want to keep it but if Roku can't fix before return period it's going back and I'll just keep using my Roku 3 until they get a Roku 5 out.

4K capability makes this streamer future-proof. I have just about all the channels I want, and cable goes bye-bye!! Very high quality picture, makes me want a 4K TV to really push its limits!

Been waiting all year for Roku to release it's 4k version. Not disappointed at all. Replaced a Roku 3 and streams 4k without a hitch. Roku even has a 4k channel autoloaded to help find 4k streams although most selections just redirect to Amazon. Wifi signal is a great improvement over my Roku 3

Great Product! Streams 4K movies. Very easy to set up, it even tested the HDMI cable and input on the back of my TV. This new Roku 4 unit has unique features such as lost remote finder (very cool) and 4K Showcase area where you will find all 4K content in one place. No more looking for 4K all over the place. Finally getting the best picture and sound out of my beautiful new TV! Easy to set up, Highly recommend to purchase!

Faster then any of the other rokus I have ever used. Way faster then my smart TV. Netflix in 4K is great! I have no ideal what people are talking about when they talk about a noisy fan.
