The Roku user interface is by far the fastest and easiest to use of all of the streaming players I have used. (Roku, Fire TV, Sony Apps). And now, the quality is amazing being able to run 4K Netflix and Amazon Prime Video!

This was a great addition to our programming. We are looking to cut the cord from satellite TV and I can get my programming right from my Roku. We got the Roku 4 for our living room tv because it is compatible with 4k.

I purchased this unit to cut the cord with cable. I am now using Sling Television for only $20 per month. I have had no fan problems as other reviewers have mentioned. Overall, very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this device on 11-17-15. At first I was pleased, especially by the remote, which was large and easy to use. However, the device would not allow me to select 4K output, even though my receiver and TV support it, and I get it from my Blu-Ray player. A series of unhelpful emails from Roku customer support ensued. I finally gave up and returned it to Best Buy (which has excellent customer service) for a refund. I have tried two Roku devices now, with poor results both times. I will stick with Apple and Amazon from now on, and advise others to do the same, unless they are masochistic.

any tech savvy person will tell you that Android or android based TV devices like amazon fire tv is the only way to go . When Roku allows a kodi app to be developed than this will be the device to get until then ...Amazon Fire tv 4K is $30 LESS and is still faster

I have both a Roku 2 and 3 so the addition of the Roku 4 was a natural choice. This device has a snappy processor and does a good job at up-scaling to 4k.

I have a GoPro 4 Black and produce 4K videos and this Roku 4 plays the GoPro 4K files no problem. It also supports the NTFS file system which allows files greater than 4GB...a big plus for 4K videos with high bit rates and very large file sizes.

I really like this especially its universal search functionality but unfortunately, using this with my home automation and smart remote doesn't allow it to wake up with the use is the universal remote. Had to stick with the Fire TV instead.

Originally purchased with a large screen 4K tv and surround sound system but returned before opening as I decided to wait one more year before cutting the cord. Based on reviews, I will definitely purchase again when the time is right!

Stunning. The 4K streaming is amazing. Great navigation for 4K content. The menu is quick. I have Time Warner Cable and I use this instead of a cable box and save on rental fees.

Bought specifically to watch 4K video and listen to Dolby Atmos surround sound. The Roku won't do either on our Samsung UHD TV or when routed through a Pioneer SC-91 to the TV. On a Denon X2200W we have it would not even connect claiming our TV was not HDCP 2.2 compliant. Of course it is. New equipment is all about HDCP and 4K video and both of our systems can also do Dolby Atmos. We have plenty of apps already that can do 1080 and Dolby 5.1 so we didn't need to buy yet another. Beware. A lot of misinformation abounds here.

After buying the Roku 4 and setting it up, it worked fine. However, when we tried to turn it back on after the initial use it wouldn't turn on without unplugging and plugging back in. Read some discussions to try and resolve, but nothing reasonable worked. Returned it and got replacement and had the same problem. In addition, after about a week of use, it wouldn't come on at all. Don't trust the good reviews, these are garbage. I'm going to return again and go with Amazon this time.

Its a great product. I get everything I need. We are a Netflix and Vudu family so to be able to watch what we want in any room on any tv is great.

Been meaning to get the Roku for a while. I'm glad I finally got it. Very easy to use and hasslefree. I definitely use it on a regular basis.

Great streaming device. I had a Apple TV and it was great too, but this one offer more streaming apps. Love the headphone jack on the remote too. XXXXXXX

When using to stream netflix the picture frequently will display strange pink or light green color and picture will degrade significantly after that happens. Also even when using 4k tv and hdmi cable unit does not believe the 4k hdmi cable is correct and unable to get roku to output in 4k. will be returning item.

I hooked up the Roku 4 to my 70" SHARP LC-70UH30U 4K TV. Screen goes to blank whenever 4K or 4K 10-bit is selected on the Roku. I tried 5 different 4K certified HDMI cables just to make sure it wasn't a cable problem. Outputting 4K/60 video from my PC to my TV over HDMI cables works great, so I know the problem is the Roku. Bottom line: Don't purchase this until Roku puts out a firmware update to make its 4K output compatible with more brands of 4K TVs!!

This is such a great product! I got it for my father-in law and he uses it daily. It is so easy to use and he couldn't be happier.

Thes best stremer tv, very versatil on comparation of their competitors.

Love this Roku, I have 6 Roku devices and this 1 is the most powerful, you can't go wrong with a Roku box.
