Optical Out port stereo only for some services
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this model hoping to get 5.1 channel audio out via the optical port, but discovered that port would only output stereo on Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. It will not convert Dolby DD+ to DD.

Not Compatible with My New Samsung

Bad all around
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went through 2 tvs, thinking my issue was with the tvs. But alas, it was my Roku 4. When hooking up the Roku 4 to my tv, I got the white noise effect and also the tvs would seem to power down in 4K mode. Well, this was not the tvs case. My Roku would power off quickly (black flash in 4K programming) and turn back on. I have contacted Roku support, with not much help. I have owned 5 Roku's throughout the Roku lifespan. The Roku 4 issues that you read about online are definitely true.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My Rokus--I own 2--can never be trusted to work properly. They constantly need rebooting for a response. Customer service is non-existent. They are only interested in adding worthless, cluttering channels to their library. Every week there's a come-on from them. Only one positive: Warner Archives in HD, exclusive. But I only like that channel for old detective TV shows, which are very limited. The milleniels managing their website are obnoxious, too. Do yourself a favor: stick with Apple and Google.
