Roku TV freezes up.

Also, it has lost wi-fi or internet connection later at night and it usually comes back by the next day. Otherwise, I like my new TV.

Not what i expected

But if you want to watch over the air stations you'll have issues. This unit doesn't remember OTA stations after watching streaming. Very annoying. Also not Bluetooth compatible.

Annoying remote - worst ever

Additionally, these controls on the side intermittently do not work. It seems to be something to do with their location. When one uses the pause function, instead of the picture just freezing, it freezes then dims and unnecessary data appears on the screen in front of the picture. These are very annoying!!!

So far I'm not impressed with this Roku TV so I do not recommend it.

Netflix never stays connected for some reason with wifi… other apps seem fine. Makes no sense but it’s consistent (and annoying).

Not good quality

Tonight, 9/26/24, the TV started smoking while I was watching a program. No overloaded outlet. No electrical problems. Fortunately, I knew what to do before the TV caught fire. You would think a TV would last more than a year. No wonder they try to sell you a warranty when you buy.

Not as good as it should be.

Wanted the Roku built-in, and to work with my extra, existing Roku remote with headset sound ability for wife. Picture quality is poor, washed-out, no real adjusts to the picture like every other TV I've seen in the last 40 years - literally hundreds. No adjustments to the audio, (other than volume). You better be happy with it's limited ability. Do not buy for your main TV unless you have no other choice.

Viewing angle was very narrow and faded out at about 45 degrees. Sound was difficult to adjust and the picture stuttered frequently(60hz instead of 120hz refresh rate. I am fond of my other roku devices, but not this one. I returned it to the store.

It freezes up or voices get out of sync. I have trouble opening apps. Sometimes I can't even turn it off without unplugging it. Rebooting has become a daily experience. I tried to exchange it. I was even willing to try another ROKU TV but since it was past 15 days BB wouldn't even discuss it. Very disappointed.

But it is very sluggish after a couple of months of use. Have not downloaded anything except the spectrum app. It takes several tries to reset if need be. Has a lot of trouble with YouTube where if you pause and get to the screen saver it won't recover from that. You have to turn it off and back on and sometimes it is still locked when turned back on.
