I recently cancelled my cable/satellite subscription due to paying so much and not really using it. I was torn between this and the Amazon firestick. I went this roku because of price and other reviews. It was a little confusing at the beginning to use but now I am so glad.

Product lags, buffers a lot. Firestick runs much better

When I got my Roku-express I did not know what to expect, I love that I can watch all my shows and not have to worry about a cable bill. I watch ABC and CW and many new channels I have never heard of. It was well worth the money.

The $30 Roku works the same as my $99 Roku. Using it I was able to take my cable box back to Spectrum and save $4 a month. Using the Roku and the Spectrum app I stream all TV for free. (You still need a strong internet service)

I bought this for my dad so that he could watch certain college sporting events that ESPN might not show on his cable subscription (and he previously had to watch online). It has the ESPN app and many other popular apps and enhances a cable subscription tremendously.

I was skeptical of the need for a box, when my TV had the apps already built-in, but the apps were continually crashing or poorly performing. This box has worked seamlessly thus far, and it's the cheapest one of it's type.

I bought these over the others because of the cost . Works great for bedrooms basement and living area.I've had for about a month with NO issues to date . Save your money and buy this over any other . Unless u want 4K streaming

For $25 can't go wrong with device. Bought it on Black Friday. Also if you download the app for it you can control the device with your phone. Theirs a headphone button on the app and you can use your Bluetooth headphones through your phone to watch movies and tv shows

I bought a 32" flat screen at best buy and the roku device was for free. I like it fine it picks up where the digital antenna leaves off; so I do not have to pay a higher cost to my satellite t provider to watch shows in a room that is connected to the service.

I can only rate it 4 stars, since I have only used it once and the wife is the main user. but from the one time I used it, and the lack of complaints from the wife, it is using Netflix, HULU, and the CW app perfectly. I did notice that the HD streaming does work well.

Not UHD but they work great for everything else. Faily quick and I love how ROKU devices sync channels. We have 3 of these and a ROKU TV now. PS....ROKU has an xfinity app so you no longer need wired set top boxes.

Roku is just the best - simple and clean interface. I have it my own and bought as a present for friend. I tried Amazon Fire stick, but I didn't like amazon interface, promotions, etc. as a background / home screen.

This is the bottom model of Roku player you can purchase. So for the money it's not bad and performs all the basic functions the other pricier models do but a little slower. For the money I knew this and it's not an issue.

Decided I did not want to keep paying for a cable adaptor for the guest room. Bought a Roku stick and installed it. Gets any channel that a guest would need including Netflix, movies, etc. Very happy with this purchase.

Needed HDMI port changer - only 2 on my set and needed 3; some issues getting TV to come on because of multiple remotes and port changer. Will figure it out eventually. Store staff could have been more aware of potential issues and saved me trips to the store.

The salesperson recommended Roku to me. Since buying it, I can honestly say I don't have any regrets. The volume of movies and TV shows you can choose from is great. Just make sure you have fast WiFi, otherwise there will be problems with slow movie streaming.

I had been wanting to get rid of cable for quite some time, and figured that I would give the Roku a try. It has lots of free movies, music channels, and I also added Sling TV, which gives me a lot of my favorite channels, that I lost when I got rid of cable.

We bought this to help/replace the smart function of our newest Samsung TV that was not user friendly at all. Glad we went with the lower cost option. It has worked great for us and the TV in our bedroom gets more use.

It enables me to watch cable on TV without the converter box from my subscriber. I can cast my Samsung phone to it. I can now use my office HDTV as larger screen mirrored from my laptop and/or cellphone. Hurrah!

I like the remote because it has Netflix and Hulu short cut button but there is no off button. There is no way to turn off the roku from the roku remote.
