Bought the roku stick for my son after trying amazon fire stick. Loved that he was able to use voice commands with fire stick but it wouldn’t stream xfinity. Went to roku works well but miss voice commands

If you have an old TV and really just want to add Netflix or Amazon, this will do. It’s inexpens enough to make it worth your while, compared to an Apple TV.

Picked up a few Rokus recently, four actually! We wanted to cut the cord and had read of other users who used Roku to access their Netflix and Amazon accounts, but also who recommended Sling. It's been a full month now, and even after buying the devices and factoring in my internet access costs I'll still save money! These things are awesome and totally an easy to use alternative to the antics of the cable company.

I was not familiar with streaming devices and Roku was recommended by a coworker. I wanted a stronger antenna to watch live television and she told me that all I needed was this device. While this basic model is good for streaming, it did not solve the problem that I was having. I still don't have my live television channels. A few live channels are offered for a monthly fee and I refuse to pay for free television channels; so you probably guessed it, I still ended up buying an antenna.

I have been back and forth on if I was going to get the fire stick or if I was going to get the Roku. I tried the fire stick of my sister's and there was so much involved with setting up. I was annoyed with it. I got the Roku for our tv in the bedroom to be able to watch our Netflix since it was not a smart tv and it took me two hot seconds to setup. I went back and got another for us to start using Slingtv.

This is a very flexible streaming device. Good content selection even has the next X1 app. Very portable as well if you need something to take on the road with you.
