Cable is outrageous. We were paying $232/month for cable TV and did not even have channels such as HBO, Cinemax, etc. We instead now use the Roku (which we ended up purchasing 2 Roku Express in addition to a Roku Premium) and stream Netflix, Hulu, and PlayStation Vue with ease. The Roku was definitely the best tech purchase we've made in a while at an extremely affordable price.

Got this on sale for 25 bucks. This is a great option for replacing the built in to the TV version that they stopped issuing Firmware updates for.

It takes longer to load apps and change channels than my Roku Premier, but I knew that when I bought it. This is a good streamer for the price.

Use it on my TV in my bedroom. Has all the apps I need and more than I will ever use. Does not have Wifi issues like other brands iv had before.

I have had the original Roku and the Roku 2. They work well. I had a few smart TVs that I couldn't add more apps to, so I purchased two of these to supplement. They work well. The only problem is that my favorite channel I watch Gaia, is that if I have it on that channel and turn the TV off, the TV always comes back on. I don't know what's with that. So I just hit the home button first, and turn the TV off. No problem. Very good deal.

Like the small footprint in comparison to previous model. Easy to set up. Good value for the money.

Roku Express is easy to use and very inexpensive. Streaming is a snap.

This works great. I have a Roku Stick and Roku Express now. I prefer the Stick because no HDMI cable is required. But for $15 less, the Express is worth the money especially if you need several. We have plenty of HDMI cables since we cut our Comcast cable boxes so no extra expense for cables. The Roku smartphone app is a good app and works the same with both.

Works well with apps but to be able to ise the full potential you need to sign up for the shows. Like netflix hulu hbo etc. over all great!

You can't beat the price, it comes with everything you need. Easy to use.

I was looking for a simple streaming device for 2 guest room TVs and this fits perfectly. It lacks a few features that the higher end devices have, the most important being a program guide grid for the Playstation Vue app. This makes searching for what's currently showing more cumbersome but it still works well for a secondary TV. Hopefully things like this will be updated down the road. For the price though it works great.

Easy to install. I usee my iPhone app as a remote even though it came with a remote. I mainly got this unit to mirror my photos and videos from my iOS device onto the tv screen. I have a Sony smart tv but it won't mirror iOS devices. Was looking for a cheap roku and this fit the bill. It also is faster to use this roku than my smart tv apps for Netflix. It's more stable.

I love the Roku. It has all the ease of use I was looking for plus allowed for an ideal amount of customization, home screen, apps, etc. My universal remote was compatible as well. Key winning note though was the ability to use it with a wifi network that required a secondary login page. This is key for students in dorms and at most hotels, airpots, etc.

Set up was easy and this works better than the Smart feature on my TV.
