I enjoyed the ease of setup and am pleased with the easy use of Roku programming.

This roku is easy to use and install. Allowed us to use amazon prime on our older tv.

I am very happy with my ROKU purchase. Although, I am not a great specialist in this issues, and can only compare this one to an older model I used previously, but there have been no issues with this device, the connection is always great and I like the "forward"/ "reverse" function when watching youtube - with older version this was very slow and annoying, and here it goes fast and nice!

With Time Warner going totally digital and scrambling the channels, I had no way to get basic local channels over cable on multiple TV's in my house without multiple cable boxes. Way too expensive just to watch local channels. My Time Warner representative suggested I get a Roku Streamer and user the Time Warner App with it to view all of my cable channels. The unit works just OK with their App. I am not sure if the App is not very good or if something else is wrong, but I can't always get access to my cable channels and have to often re-log into the App which is a pain. The WiFi reception of this unit tends to show "Poor" even with a strong WiFi signal nearby. My phone & iPad have no issues picking up a strong signal in the same area. I added a WiFi extender in the house and that didn't make a difference. One thing to note with this unit is that it needs to be placed in line of sight of the remote. The Roku streaming stick on the other hand plugs directly into a TV HDMI port and the remote does not need to be in line of sight with it. A little more money, but probably worth it. Overall I can't say this would be my preferred method of watching the cable channels, & I'm not into the other streaming offerings so I can't give it a higher rating. Ultimately, I'm more disappointed with Time Warner taking the local channel access away than anything else.

This works really great and is easy to plug in and connect. It has many applications you can download and run.

This is a pretty good product and streams data fairly quickly, but recently, it seems to be stalling or overheating and the only way I can get the streaming service back is to unplug it from power then plug it right back in. It's not sitting next to anything warm, so I'm not sure what the issue is. It's happened twice in about 30 days, so it's not terrible, but if I didn't have to unplug it and plug it back in, I would've given it 5 stars. Just sayin'.
