Nice Product, but

Great Streaming Device

Not being certain of when I would upgrade to a 4K TV, I wanted to make sure that my other entertainment device upgrades were as future-proof as possible. Admittedly, I do not have much experience with other streaming devices (Fire, Apple, etc.), but I have been very pleased with the quality of the Roku products.

Good replacement for Roku 4

It was replaced, but it had issues with inconsistent sound at times. Bought this on sale as a replacement and it is a night and day difference. Half the size and much quieter since it doesn't have the noisy fan. Boots up fast, and the sound is working perfect again with my sound bar in the bedroom.

Exactly what we needed

It didn't work out and SlingTV was looking to be on its way out since the stream was choppy. We figured we'd try the roku player and go from there... Not only did it work like a charm, it has been a God-send! Love it for Vudu, Amazon Prime video, Netflix,and MLB.tv.

One thing that sets it apart from other streaming devices is that others have consistent lagged with buffering, this however rarely does. Only con about this is that there is no physical keyboard on the back of the remote; that would make searching for videos way more intuitive and efficient.
