I bought this for my sister and her family for Christmas. They had no trouble setting it up. My sister loves it because she is now able to watch the news on their TV rather then using her phone and without having to pay for cable.

This player does not has HDMI cable.WHY???(Put cable in the box and charge)

We replaced our older Roku with the Premiere. Our older Roku required line of sight for the remote, the newer ones work from anywhere in the room. We also like the option to listen in silence using headphones on the remote.

Get rid of rising monthly costs of satellite, and cable. These places say one thing and six months later you are paying double for less. We even discovered that there is tons of free content as well to stream through Roku.

I was more than pleased with the RoKu movie selections as well as numerous other programming options for more movies, documentaries, etc. Too many to mention. I have already purchased a second one for another room.

Did not work as to what I was purchasing. Needed something for long range

The setup is simple, except you have to provide with your credit card number in the setup, which I don't like very much. Otherwise, the router works well. I have a Sony TV but somehow it keeps telling me some kind of errors that says either my HDMI cable is not right or something else. very strange.

I was looking for a streaming device and all my research indicated the Roku to be the best. After connecting it and setting it up, I have come to the same conclusion as others, Roku streaming devices are the best!

My wife and I have tried cutting the cord in the past and we always ended up going back. Even with other streaming devices we were never as satisfied as we are with our new Roku. We are going to buy one for each of our TVs.

Being concerned about Wi-Fi waves, I purchased this particular Roku because it can be connected with an actual CAT5E cable and it definitely works well. Excellent product and I've already bought another for my mother.

I have an Amazon stick, an Apple TV and a Chromecast stick. All of them work, however, the Roku stick gives me the most options (especially the "Spectrum" channel). It let me remove one of the cable boxes I used to have.

I really like the Roku. It has allowed me to cancel cable and use it exclusively for television programing. I have one for each TV in my house and they all sync together so I can pause a show on one and resume on another.

We bought the roku because we wanted it for our living room TV for our 7 month old. It has some pretty cool baby shows that he seems to enjoy. The only bad thing is that it turns on the tv by itself after I turn off the tv. I'm sure it's just a setting thing, that I haven't got around to looking at yet.

I bought this for my family because we needed access to the DirecTV Now app, but I have found that I like using it much more than our Xbox Ones. Roku makes a great product and I would definitely recommend buying it.

I had an older Roku that I thought was merely meh but I decided to cut the cord with my diabolical cable company (you know who you are) and was debating between Apple TV and a new Roku. I picked Roku mostly for the 4k capability and Amazon Prime capability and I am thrilled. Great streaming device.

This is the 3rd one I have purchased, my wife specially loves it and I must say I am getting hooked. The older ones did not discharge the batteries in the remote as this one does but that would be my only complain!

Bought this as a deal on black Friday. This is my second Roku streaming device, the older model which I have is still working. I got this to support high resolution. So far its working fine. I have unplugged and plugged again, whenever it was not responding, other than that no issues at all.

I am not sure about this yet, I am giving it as a Christmas present.

We were having issues with one of our streaming devices and decided to pick up a new one. Glad we did, love the audio control on the remote which most others don't have. And Rokus selection of apps is second to none.

I have a spectrum account at my other home. The Roku allows me to watch my Time Warner TV over the internet at my other home. The other sticks would not let me do that. The functional loss is in the remote as it does not have a back button so you cannot toggle between to favorite channels.
